Warm welcome in a proper pub
Called in for drinks whilst spending a weekend break in the Medway Towns and received a warm welcome in this cosy and traditional pub. All COVID protocols followed to the letter allowing us to relax, feel safe and enjoy the ambience of a proper pub.

We went there on Saturday 20th July for the live music and we weren’t disappointed Restoring Order, Modes and The Effected were playing. Great music, good atmosphere the bar staff were friendly we can’t wait to see the bands again

Nice pub
Dec 2017 • Friends
Nice lay out, friendly, proper old school pub, let down by distinctly average ale offering. Nelson's brewery is terrible.

Nice pub
Nice pub and good music venue of a weekend, the only thing that lets it down are the selection of wines.

Good beer, Good food, good live music

The Nags Head is an interesting old building built on 3 levels. Very friendly staff, good food at reasonable prices, real ales and home cooked food. Addd to this regular live music by local bands and you have an exceptional pub.I have put on several funtions here and the co-operation from the hosts and the good atmosphere always ensure a succesful evening

Decent for a quick pint
Sep 2016
Popped in here a few times with a friend. There's two areas in this pub on two levels. One seems to be a kind of bar area for anyone passing and one for the locals.

Decent beer and not too pricey. Worth a stop if you're heading that way for a pint.

Proper pub
Oct 2015 • Friends
Great to find a proper British boozer not done over like all the generic 'gastro' pubs. Hops above the bar and a proper local feel. Don't change!

Always an enjoyable night with friendly bar staff and patrons. The food is excellent too. Also great to see a venue supporting the local live music scene.
