About
The Four Candles is Britain's Smallest Brewpub (not the smallest pub, not the smallest brewery - just the smallest proper micropub that is also a proper microbrewery. We sell an ever-changing selection of our own beers as well as a small range of Biddenden wines, ciders and fruit juices. Ashmore cheese, Kentish pork pies and Black Country pork scratchings. Or a cup of tea or coffee if you insist. No bar, no till, no TV, no piped music. And no lager (as we're not able to make that). Just conversation and good company. We're open every evening and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Nice little boozer, had a really pleasant evening recently with some friends, great bar staff, very qauint, one of my favorite little watering holes in Broadstairs. Locals are friendly, great banter. Mike keeps good ale, I'd recommend the Four Candles. In a lovely part of Broadstairs. Definitely coming bk after lockdown. Thanks

Feels like home!

Popped in on a Tuesday evening.

A smattering of regulars, happy talkative and friendly.

The landlord is a very nice and informative chap.

Ales were excellent and well priced.

We opted for some cheese, biscuits and chutney. Simply Devine.

We’ll be back.

I was recommended to visit this bar and it did not disappoint. On my own but was made to feel very welcome by the girl serving the drinks and indeed the customers who were in the bar. Great beer

Enjoyed a significant number of pints over the Christmas period. Always a friendly atmosphere and excellent company. Very popular so sometimes quite cramped ... this adds to the atmosphere. Ale drinkers, cider drinkers, wine drinkers and dogs always welcome.

Well worth a visit
Dec 2018 • Couples
We'd been meaning to come in here for years & I'm so glad that we finally made it. The Landlord is great & the beverages are lovely - I had mulled cider (at 7.5% a half was quite enough) & my partner had the Christmas Porter from their micro brewery - very good! With such a small venue the other customers could have been very cliquely, but they were ever so friendly!

Simply fantastic

Popped in on a Thursday evening. It is what it says on the box. A front room with a brewery in the cellar.

Landlord and clientele very friendly.

Beer excellent, it hasn't had to travel far!

This is a brilliant, cosy venue where everyone is welcomed. We'll be back.
