We have had a beach hut on Stone Bay now for around 6 years. On a hot day you could be anywhere in the world. Great beach, easy to walk back into Broadstairs, great little drink/food shop on the bay. Very recommended.

Whilst Louisa and Viking bay get crowded very quickly in holidays Stone bay is usually not so popular so is a good alternative and can be reached on the open top bus .

Not as populated as Viking Bay....but great for youngsters at low tide with all the rock pools. I saw some colourful moths buzzing around too. Quite tropical. Great for adults who want to laze about. Be warned....tide comes in all the way on some of...More

nice walk to the right of Broadstairs. but nothing there at the time of our visit/walk - if the main beach is to busy for you this bay would be ideal - but not sure if there is toilets or refreshments.

Visited today. And what a nice beach and a great walk along the prom. Tide was out so the rick pools were exposed. Spent time exploring and paddling in the sea.

Stone Bay is a 5 minute drive from the busier and more popular Viking bay. Stone Bay has everything you need, it's smaller, quieter. There are toilets there and a small beach cafe that sells tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice cream and chips. A nice...More

In between Joss bay, and broadstairs viking bay is stone bay. Stunning views across the channel to France. Quieter bay, can get busy in school holidays. Very popular with locals, and dog walkers. Good bird watching beach, migrant birds and shore birds seen. Good beach for...More

I am a local and often visit here rather than the main Viking Bay, as that beach gets very busy and can be quite noisy, and can have large groups/crowds in the peak times of the year. That is not the case with Stone Bay...More

I guess it all depends when you go. There are car parks. And street parking. However on a very hot day I would say it’s a gamble on how close to the beach you will get. Best advice. Get there as early as possible.
