We have lived in Broadstairs for 19 years but still get a thrill when we walk along to the prom and look down to the Bay... we even turn to each other and ask "Shall we move here?"... It is the perfect bay for a family; contained, sandy beach and always somewhere to sit and/or play even at high tide.... More

I visited Viking Beach in summer for the first time, I found it very enjoyable with a lovely atmosphere around the village, people are friendly and were happy to answer my questions about directions. - The beach is large and very sandy, there are free toilets on the beach and deck chairs to rent out. Lots of different places to... More

Lovely seaside town with Viking being the main beach, golden sand,s pier, cove of fishing boats, Charles Dickens holiday home and it has a dickens feel, nice shops, old cinema, italian delicacies in two cafes, nice place to stay, beach has everything you need, very popular and very busy high season.it retains its air of childhood memories of the seaside... This is a lovely small beach and is kept very clean but there are so many seagulls on the beach it really is annoying. If anyone wants to eat anything on the beach the gulls gather round them and at times snatches it with their beaks out of their hands( very scarey) I have noticed the tractor filtering the sand... We just love Broadstairs, especially Viking Bay. We never tire of walking on the promenade around the bay or across the sands. The choice of eating and drinking establishments is considerable.

It's a lovely "oldie worldie" sandy bay with a few small fishing boats tied up to the harbour wall. There are life guards on the beach during the summer. There are toilets at the Eastern end of the beach and a couple of pubs, There is a public car park at the end of Harbour St. Which still had spaces... More
