Always worth a visit, although in peak times does get extremely busy. Head here early morning and visit Martin at the Viking Bay Café for great drinks and hot snacks to take away. Beach is cleaned daily during the season and it is monitored by RNLI lifeguards during the season. Safe and clean with various watersports on offer and kiddies... More

nice sweep of sandy beach with wonderful range of historic buildings. You can relax on the beach then walk a very short distance to have lunch. A busy beach but a lovely feeling to it

This is my first time popped down Broadstairs Viking Bay, to be fair it's a lovely beach if not include a lots of seaweed over the beach, first step in the beach I can smell very heavy stink about the seaweed and a lots of flies as well, it's very disgusting for me, so I just stay within an hour... it was my first time visited Broadstairs which was recommended by my work colleagues many years ago. When we arrived, we quickly fall in love with this place. Broadstairs suitable for everyone for a weekend or short stay for family holiday! I love the atmosphere, I love the local people! we will return to Broadstairs next year!

I visited broadstairs today it was a beautiful sunny day and I took my fabulously gorgeous Staffordshire bull terrier dog Jessie. The beach was packed full of families and we had to walk along the promenade because of some pathetic rule that no dogs allowed on the beach from May to September. I am a responsible dog owner and a... More

Visited in mid August on a cloudy cool day, but on a sunny warm day it is lovely. Several generations of my family have enjoyed coming here. There is the harbour with nearby cafes and shops, toilets (could be better), a large sandy beach, rock pools when the tide is out, swing boats and trampolines and other play things for... More

Great beach. Lovely soft sand. Lifeguard patrol. Toilets and shops on the beach. Great icecream place at the top of the steps.

We went to Broadstairs for the weekend and usually just look at Viking Bay over the railings or when we are having a drink in the Pavilion or Tartar Frigate! This time as it was such a lovely day we decided to walk along the beach and pretend we were on holiday. The beach is lovely and clean and the... More

Viking Bay has it all - a Blue Fladd beach with wide soft golden sands, all the facilities you could possibly need with toddler's rides and Punch and Judy as well. This is the South East's best kept secret and the jewel in the crown of the very best seaside resorts that Kent can offer.
