Wonderful spot for a day out

One of my most favourite beaches! In summer it's always warm and the view is stunning. There's lot's to do, and it's a lovely place to go for a walk.

Beach is lovely and sandy and very well kept. Loved watching the various dogs charging in and out of the sea.

Beach with plenty of sand, shallow waters at low tide, so good for young children. In summer has lifeguards and small funfair for young children. Cafes on or near beach, so plenty of choice for everyone, 2 great ice cream parlours !! A pier too with a small café, for the fishermen out there you can fish from the pier... More

Although it's cold in Feb.. when the sun shines Broadstairs is Beautiful..... this is a great beach for kids as the sand is just right for sand castles. There are lots of dog walkers on this beach.... but no mess and very little rubbish. Also it's fun to look for the chalk rocks... some look like mini icebergs and others... More

Absolutely love Viking Bay in Broadstairs. Lovely and quaint, not over-run by tourists which is what I like best about it. Ive visited with my children and also on my own. Love it here.

Had a fab walk along the bay with the dogs, sea was choppy so enjoyed watching the waves crash against the see wall. Sandy beach and plenty of cafes and pubs to wet your whistle. Enjoyed seeing the life boat shooting across the sea to do some training. Great fun even on a wet and windy February day. When the... More

As someone who lives in the Thanet area I can honestly say that this is the best beach around here. There are council workers cleaning the toilets and picking up rubbish all day. There are a couple of bucket and spade shops and a few little cafés. There is also a child area but it's a little pricey. The beach... More

I have been visiting Broadstairs since I was a child. Viking Bay is a beautiful sandy beach with a café, children's trampolines, toilets, ice cream stalls. Even at high tide there is still plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the Bay
