Entrance through museum shop. Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs. The Burn family home for nearly 300 years. ​18th century farmhouse with barn and outbuildings. Victorian school room. Medical room. Childhood and toys display. Militaria exhibition. Hornsea Pottery with over 2000 items on display. Wife and children loved it. The lady in the reception was very friendly would recomend to to anyone and the kids loved looking for the hidden mice in each room and dressing up this is truly a hidden gem

We visited the other day having been recommended by a friend, but as he is involved in the museum I had to make my own mind up! It is amazing. So much fascinating information and laid out in an interesting entertaining manner. We visited Beamish...More

Situated on Newbegin, Hornsea museum is only a small museum. A mainly 30's & 40's type museum. Good for a trip down memory lane, lots of outdoors memobilia to see. Staffed by volunteers, Very reasonable entry prices. Easily reached by bus Service 246 & 240...More

Grown up visiting grandparents in Hornsea and this was my first visit. Donated my grandfathers tools on his passing at the age of 102 a few years ago. Lovely to see a fantastic museum

Sorry but dogs, are not admitted ( guide dogs are of course ). We have a family of mice but not sure that they would be able to entertain visitors!
