This was nothing but spectacular. Dean - who leads the tour - is passionate, knowledgeable, professional, and knows the region. He led a group of 8 of us on a short tour - with stops in a few coves, followed by a great lunch and conversation. We wouldn't normally think of doing this when in Fethiye - but absolutely worth it. And if you go, talk with Dean about the Lycian trail.

Dean was an excellent guide. Picked us up at the hotel, set us up with kayaks and we went to the beach. We had wanted to go to Butterfly Valley but it was windy and choppy so we paddled around St. Nicholas Island. We stopped for a swim and paddled onward. The wind picked up and as I was in a single kayak and feeling a little apprehensive we cut the tour short. We then went to a restaurant and had golzeme then we went to some Lycian tombs on a side road. During the tour Dean was very aware of my comfort level, the wind and the weather. There was a huge thunderstorm just after our tour which I'm glad we missed. Dean was very careful about our safety and making sure the trip was within our comfort level

I had planned on going on a kayak tour with my husband for our honeymoon. Everything had been reserved and confirmed with Dean by email. However, when we arrived to Fethiye, we called Dean to inquire about our kayak tour right before we were heading over to meet him at the agreed time. He picked up the phone and admitted to completely forgetting about our reservation and told us he could not take us out on a kayak tour. He is obviously completely disorganized and aloof as everything had been confirmed by email. I can't speak about his kayak tours, but his planning/organization is extremely poor and resulted in my husband and I skipping kayaking while we were in Fethiye.

Four of us had an excellent day sea kayaking with Dean in early May. We were lucky to have a beautiful day and calm seas. As two of us were complete beginners, we chose the half day Gemiler Loop paddle. Dean picked us up from our hotel in Fethiye and drove us to the launch spot where we spent around three hours paddling around St Nicholas Island with a beach stop and a swim at the end. After that we drove back to Kayakoy for an excellent lunch at a village restaurant near the abandoned town. Dean is very good company (speaks both English and Turkish) and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Very well organised, simple and enjoyable kayak trip across some beautiful stretches of calm, clear sea. A few stops here and there, some snorkelling, rock jumping (optional), and good conversation along the way. Dean is a intellingent, warm guy (his wife's lovely too) and doesn't make you feel hurried. We ended up back at the ghost town for some amazing food and a beer in the sun. A perfect day. Thoroughly recommended.
