An unforgettable day

A visit to the Dolfinarium is an unforgettable day out for the whole family. Because how often do you get the chance to meet dolphins, take a close look at sea lions and touch sharks?

Use all of your senses
You can easily spend an entire day at Europe's largest marine mammal park. Take a stroll from the Dolfijnendelta (Dolphin Delta) – where newborn dolphins swim – to the Zeehondenzand (Seal Sand) where common seals live together with grey seals. Listen to the rowdy sea lions and see with your own eyes how enormous walruses are. At the Roggenrif (Ray Reef) you get to meet some smaller inhabitants of the North Sea. Sea bass, rainbow trout and anemones, for example. You can observe them closely and learn all about these interesting creatures. You can even touch the sharks and the rays.

Eye to eye

Of course you get to take a close look at our marine mammals. There are eleven unique shows in which the dolphins, sea lions and walruses show you their best moves. Be amazed and moved by their extraordinary appearance!

Animal welfare first

The Dolfinarium has been around for nearly fifty years. Over the years we have done a lot of research and made a significant contribution to the protection of the animals in the wild. Animal welfare has always been and will always be our top priority in our research. We take care of our marine animals with a lot of love, passion and respect.
And it shows: the animals in Harderwijk grow (a lot) older than their congeners in the wild and every year many babies are born in our park. As the main sponsor of Stichting SOS Dolfijn we are proud that we are able to help increase the well-being of the animals.

I have been to the Dolfinarium today with my wife and kids (3 and 1 year old). I must say im disappointed about the park. The shows are ok but didn't had the wow factor. Parking is badly organised, their are more food, candy and souvenirs stands then there are animal attractions. They are pushing you to buy souvenirs on... More

Booked tickets online in advance and downloaded to phone, much cheaper this way. Easy access to park, very busy by 10:45 having opened at 10am. Not a huge park, but we watched the dolphin, porpoise, sealion shows. No English translation but we still enjoyed it all. The dolphin show is very well organised, with coloured tokens being handed out on arrival,... More

I visited Dolfinarium this August. It is an interesting place with lots of sea life shows. Unfortunately it was rainy on the day I visited. So having to get an umbrella when watching the outdoor shows. The main dolphins show was indoors, luckily. What impressed me most was that the show was actually telling stories between human beings and dolphins.... More

This is a well laid out park for a family day out. Map gives feeding times for various attractions. Sea Lion show disappointing but the dolphins and walrus good. Nice to be able to wonder on to the beach and see the town of Harderwijk. The food queue slow but quality okay. Went down to water level to view walrus... More

My 7 year old son and I visited for the day with our aunt in Holland during our visit from New Zealand. We loved it because we saw lots of animals that we do not have on our side of the world - the highlights included the walrus and dolphins, and touching the stingrays. The park is well set up... We arrived a bit later in the day than we wanted, meaning we had to pay full price for a couple of hours here. However, once inside, there were so many shows you could go and see. The lady on the reception was so helpful and gave us a good itinerary, taking into account what would would be suitable for... More

We took our children to Dolfinarium, great day out. The set-up of the park is a good size but not too big. There were several shows to enjoy. While there were several restaurants, you could bring along your own refreshments too. We enjoyed the sunny weather and the small beach came in handy. At this moment there is some restructuring... The parc itself looks a bit worn down at some places, but shows are realy great! One can see the crew loves the animals. A nice place to go!

It is obvious what the Dolfinaium is all about (and if it is not - it is about sea creatures, especially mammals) - it is not very big, but not small enough to make you feel crowded. Now days one of the roads leading there is under construction, so I suggest - arrive early to get a good parking spot... More
