Two sisters run this ancient frantoio with a keen eye on new technologies and quality standards. But they are also able to tell the story of their land, recall the traditions attached to the region, and bring together the local community of farmers. They offer an extremely informative tour in good English crowned by a tasting of their oil, as well as of local produce.

We stopped here for a tour of the mill, learned about the process of how olive oil is made and were educated on the different processes, options and tastes associated with olive oil. We learned how to taste olive oil and were even served a traditional tuscan meal for lunch. Ughetta is so wonderful, her knowledge is impeccable, the hospitality is world-class and the oil is worth shipping back to the States. We bought 5L!

We visited Antico Francois Doglia as a concluding session of a bicycle tour of the Tuscan countryside with Luca, of Bike Around Tuscany. What a beautiful end to our day. One of the two owners gave us a tour of the family-owned olive oil mill. As a guide, the owner was very informed and helped us to appreciate olive oil making more than we ever thought we would. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour concluded with tasting the olive oil along with traditional accompaniments that she prepared herself. Everything was delicious and the experience delightful.

We visited as part of the bike tour with Luca of Bike Around Tuscany, and what a wonderful experience! We were warmly met by owner, Ughetta, who explained the olive oil making process, showed us her beautiful olive tree grove, and capped it off with a delicious tasting of delectables made with her olive oil. Ughetta has a friendly, laid back air about her but is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about her family business, which she runs with her sister now. While they were not pressing the olives in the summer when we visited, as they do that in the fall, we enjoyed our great experience here! Thank you, Ughetta!

Me and my partner drove past this place on our holiday in Tuscany, went in and was met by one of the sisters who own the place. We had made no reservation nor had we called a head but she gladly took the time to give us a tour and tasting of the oil, some Tuscan food and some nice Prosecco. Learned a lot about olive oil production, very friendly and welcoming. Felt very genuine and private, just the two of us, can definitely recommend it!
