Recommended by Jessica at Mate' and Chiara our driver we visited San Polino this past week for a tour and tasting. We were very lucky to have Katia conduct our tasting and we were joined by some visiting members of her family which was even better. The property is amazing and the view from the tasting room could not be better. However, her wines are so exceptional I would have tasted them in a closet if need be. They make incredible Brunello's and have other offerings. If you get a chance, try and get a reservation at this wonderful place. You will not be disappointed. I might be back in the Fall. :)

Actually it was August 2017. Family vacation to Sicily, Amalfi Coast and Tuscan wine country. Visited home of our Grandparents; kids got to see the famous fountain. In Tuscany we visited several great wineries. Enjoyed San Polino the most...sat under a large tree overlooking the vineyard, tasted wines ate fresh bread with home grown Olive Oil. The family lived in a 500 year old farm house. Fabuloso !!!!

A marvelous family run business, gorgeous views, and great wine. Wine is grown using organic, bio-dynamic methods. Also near the Museo Del Brunello.

This elegant vintner is focused on sustainable winemaking while not sacrificing quality (and often imprecise science in winemaking). San Polino triumphs where many fail, leaving the visitor with an enormous appreciation for the efforts while also any enjoyable wine tasting experience. We applaud San Polino and highly recommend a visit here.

Just great! So friendly and informative- it was wine tasting no. 4 for the day and our favourite. Both bio-dynamic and organic, it was very interesting to have someone explain this in real terms. Also being a small operation you can see the wine business is hard work. The wine is excellent- highly recommend you visit Katia for some San Polino - brunello di montalcino .

This is one of those gems you visit & will always want to return to. From the impeccable friendly hosting by organic winemaker Katia, to the beautiful vineyard views & the amazing Brunello di Montalcino wine she makes, it was a delightful pleasure. It is a small family operation so be courteous & call in advance. Thank you Katia. Cya soon...

We stopped in at this winery after enjoying a late lunch at Taverna dei Barbi. This is a small family-run that biodynamic-organic farming to produce a premium Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. We arrived without calling ahead and we were lucky enough that the son was there and he was able to pour us a tasting. The wine was exceptional and the conversation flowing. As it was a farm ther were chickens running around and two dogs. The border collie was somewhat shy but loved chasing sticks and leaves. I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation!
