My girlfriend and I were driving around Montalcino and just stumbled upon this vineyard from a road sign. We decided to drive up and check it out. Unfortunately, the vineyard was closed for the day. However, things turned around. I wandered into their bottling area and begin interacting with a gentleman who happened to work there. I was just peaking around and was disappointed that it was closed. Eventually, the owner, Mr. Parisi, walked in to see what was going on. He was so sweet and genuine. Since, it was closed we wanted to buy a bottle of wine to try at a later date. Mr. Parisi hand signed the bottle which had a hand painted label as well! Super cute! Mr. Parisi ended up giving us a quick tour of the property which we did not expect! It was such a lovely experience and so sweet of him to do for us! My girlfriend and I walked away from the whole experience blown away. He told us to come back in a few years and we hope to do that!

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind words! We use the period of January and February to rest a little bit and then start again the season; also, these months are resting period for our vineyards too, and we like to respect the circle of nature by giving them time to breath and regain strenght after the harvest. We are sorry that you couldn't have the intire experience in NostraVita but for sure we will be happy to welcoming you! We look forward to meet you. Best regards, NostraVita Montalcino.

A wonderful family-owned, smaller winery. Gorgeous scenery - the tasting room is all glass overlooking the valley. We were made to feel at home and had a great experience. The family is incredibly artistically talented and we enjoyed touring around the grounds.

Today we met some members of this family of versatile artists who also produce good wine. The visit was an experience between the workshops and the works of very interesting artists. The tasting of Rosso and Brunello was the culmination of a journey full of surprises. It is evident that the Parisi family puts the same passion in the vineyards that shines through their works of art. The view from this corner of Val d'Orcia is also unmissable.

Had the privilege to visit the fascinating family-run NostraVita winery in Montalcino - part winery, part artist colony, part natural history museum. They make 100% Sangiovese wine. Patriarch and founder Annibale Parisi graced us along the way and even showed us how he hand paints the labels on some bottles. The visit ended with a wine tasting in a glass enclosed space overlooking the valley while a thunderstorm raged on. I won't spoil it for you but truly a one of a kind experience - unforgettable.

Our experience at Nostra Vita was unparalleled, and here's why.
My younger sister is an artist, and this is an artist's paradise. Between the sculptures, the paintings, and the owner's own private art studio, the exhibition feature to this winery should not be overlooked. The owner takes great pride in his work, even to the point of *hand-painting* every label of bottle of wine. Yeah, every single label.
Now here's where our experience became the highlight of our trip to Italy: my sister painted two bottles. One the owner kept, and another he gave to my sister. After that, he showed her around, even giving her an original piece he painted. He was so overjoyed that she was there, and they were making art together, that even his lack of english couldn't hide his enthusiastic voice.
I'm not saying that your tour is going to be anything like ours. But these are such good, wonderful people, who take great pride in their work and delight in sharing it with you, whether it's their wine or art.
I cannot even begin to explain how much joy this brought our family, to see my sister paint these bottles or gain a mentor-figure in the owner, but what I do know is that my grandparents who were with us could have cried in joy through the entire encounter. So my sincerest thanks to the owners for the tour, but more importantly for the love and happiness you shared with us through your art.
And the part that I'm sure you came here for a review of: the wine is excellent as well.

A magical vineyard experience! Very small vineyard tended by the family. That makes for an extra special tour of the vines and process.

The father purchased the property with a dream, and he has made it come true.

Breathtaking wine tasting “room”. Just perfection.

The father is an artist and hand paints each label.

Don’t miss this one.

I visited this winery by sheer chance at the recommendation of my host at an agriturismo. I showed up without an appointment at 4:00 PM. The owner Annibale meets me and reluctant to turn me away, asks me if I can come back in an hour suggesting me to visit Sant Ansimo church in the meantime.

Was really glad I did, he is an adorable gentleman with a passion for what he does. He spent almost two hours with us showing us around the winery and telling us the history of this true gem of a winery. And the wine was wonderful also.

It is great to see and meet folks who are passionately vested in what they do.

What an impressive place and a sincerely gracious host and gifted winemaker, craftsman, artisan in its proprietor, Annibale Parisi. This is a small, family-owned vineyard just south of Montalcino, where Mr. Parisi not only makes great wine, but works as an artist himself. His family's passion for beauty and originality are evident all around. Additionally, he encourages other artists to live, work and create on the grounds, and their work as well as his own can be seen all over the property. My entire family was moved by the Parisi family's warmth and hospitality and the time that they spent with us - leisurely and unhurried. Hats off to our sommelier/guide, Alberto Martini, as well, who stumbled across NostraVita by accident one day when he became lost in the countryside on his bicycle and stopped to ask for directions.

My new husband and I were lucky enough to discover the NostraVita winery and the family that cultivates it. We were made welcome, tried the amazing wines and even got to paint a label. We came away with a new appreciation for the caring effort that the Parisi tribe puts into everything from being mindful of the energy of their area to creating the art and wines that come from this unique place. We highly recommend this experience - it has been one of our best.
