My group of 50 had planned to visit Casato Prime Donne when the pandemic hit. Two years later, 14 of us finally made it to this wonderful gem of a winery. Antonella was over the top flexible with us customizing a lunch, tour, and tasting experience and changing the dates over and over again. When our bus driver got Covid and we were hours late, she still accommodated us yet again.
The lunch was amazing, the tour very educational and interesting, the setting and artwork lovely, and the Tuscan landscape stunning. And the wine, of course, is incredible. A wonderful afternoon!

My wife and I visited while on our Honeymoon in May 2022. Antonella was an amazing host at Donatella Cinelli Colombini's Casato Prime Donne. She was very flexible with scheduling our visit with great communication. Once we arrived our tour and tasting was very informative on the history of the winery and the region as well. We were able to sample multiple vintages of Brunello to taste the differences that vintage and aging can impart to the wine. We thoroughly enjoyed the wines and bought a case of wine to enjoy at home that Antonella shipped direct to our doorstep which was extremely convenient. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area!

Our visit to Casato Prime Donna was the first in our honeymoon wine tour of Chianti and set the tone for our incredible trip. The quality of the wine combined with Antonella's incredible knowledge, passion and warm welcome made for an incredible experience. This small vineyard, steeped in history with a rebellious edge was a true highlight for us. Our only regret is that we visited the Casato first and only bought one (beautiful) bottle - if we had visited at the end of the Brunello leg of our Montalcino visit we would have bought a lot more!
I couldn't recommend the tour, the wine or Antonella's guide skills more fervently. If you want to discover an off-the-beaten track winery par excellence in Montalcino... look no further!

This winery boasts a stunning location and makes exceptional wines, but the beauty doesn't end there. The female owner also supports local artists, and many of their works are displayed at Casato Prime Donne. Touring the winery, tasting the wines, and enjoying the art made this stop one of my favorites on our trip to Italy!

I LOVE Brunello wine so have been on many many many Brunello wine tastings. This was both unique and outstanding. Excellent tour of the facility with just the right amount of information about the history, process and area. The winery is female staffed which is refreshing in such a male dominated industry. The setting is gorgeous. There are lovely painted images on the walls of the fermentation room. We were those annoying guests that got lost and were late but despite the inconvenience our host, Antonella, could not have been more gracious and welcoming. Her knowledge about both the wine and area is exceptional . One of the best wine tasting/tours I have experienced anywhere!!!

We love Brunello so we came for the wines- and they were exceptional, but the winery itself is a truly unique experience! First of all, this is an ALL female operation. How cool is that in such a male dominated space, to have all women? The setting is visually spectacular. There is art everywhere- along the trail through the vineyards, and throughout the winery. The tour and tasting was wonderful- Antonella made us feel so welcome. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the vineyard, the art, the wines, and the area of Montalcino from someone so knowledgable and passionate. Best tasting and tour we have had in Tuscany! Will definitely return.

We spent a lovely afternoon here learning about wine, the region and this unique female owned vineyard. The wine is amazing and we could not wait for our order to arrive so we could share with family and friends. This is not your run of the mill tourist stop - this is a true experience with incredible people. A must stop to add to your itinerary.

Our tour with Antonella, one of the wine makers, was the best we had in the area.
Recommend that people interested in Brunello/Rosso taste here before going to other wineries because it's such a good overview.
It combined history of Montalcino, the Brunello and Rosso winemaking processes, and art!
This is an exceptional winery owned and run by women, with topnotch wines. We were fortunate to be there during the harvest to see in person some steps in this amazing process. So appreciated that Antonella made time in her busy schedule for us.
The property is stunning(as is their property in Trequanda) and we enjoyed the various pieces of art.
The tasting was delicious and reasonably priced.
