Interesting story
Oct 2021
When we heard about the Mozart vineyard we figured what the heck why not check it out. It was a fun and interesting visit. Learning the history behind the vineyard and the music was enjoyable. The wines were quite good and the experience worth a visit.

Interesting winery
Aug 2021
It is famous for playing Motzart music through the vineyards as a means to spur vine growth. The brunellos were very good. While this was an interesting concept there are plenty of great wineries in Tuscany.

Mozart Wines

A unique winery situated in the hills between Buonconvento and Montalcino. As you drive up the hill you start hearing the music that is directed to the vines so that the vibrations the music creates keep diseases and insects away from the fruits making the grapes grow stronger and better! You can see the results of these experiments in their lovely wines! The price for the degustazione is very low and the people at the winery are all very kind! This is definitely a place you have to hit every year to taste the different wines they release each year!!

Must See!!
Sep 2019 • Couples
This winery has been on my must see list for quite some time. When we stepped out of our car and were embraced by Mozart and the beautiful views of the Tuscan hills we were in a trance. We were given a history of the vineyard and Sangiovese grapes (primo) and creme de la Creme was tasting 4 Brunello wines... the entire hour we spent was magical. Must se and you need to book your visit as it’s a rather small winery and they do not want crowds upon crowds. Grazie !!

Good wines but bad visit!

The website says: "Weather permitting, your visit will begin with a walk around the Mozart vineyard, located directly opposite the hill of Montalcino. The Paradiso di Frassina's team will welcome you and explain everything about our Musica & Vigne ('Music & Vines') project" The weather was sunny but nobody has guided us to Mozart's vineyard, we were left alone....A guy in the cellar showed us a sign with the benefits of music and nothing else

We visited with a group tour for the day and Carlo's place was breathtaking! The concept of music with wine is so unique and amazing to see how everything works in person. Carlo was an excellent host and the wine was by far the best we had on our entire trip. Absolutely amazing experience and we'd recommend everyone to visit on their next Tuscan wine adventure!

Just returned from an afternoon with Carlo at I’ll Paradiso di Frassina. Carlo was a welcoming host. After a tour of the vineyard. He took the time to explain the entire process involved with making Brunello. Then he explained how music, Mozart effects the grapes. Tasting followed. I cannot recommend Il Paradiso di Frassina enough!

Unreliable
Sep 2018 • Family
We have booked a visit three weeks ago and had it confirmed and reconfirmed. We arrived at Il Paradiso di Frassina on time and waited for the tour with the owner of the place just to find out that he was going to give a tour to another group... We were sent to the entrance of the place to taste their wines with the owner's son and to read the write-ups on the wall and buy their wine. A waste of time, disrespectful to our time and least reliable visit. Not recommending taking valuable time to visit. Disappointing experience!

Dear Friends, We are very sorry to read your review. Guests who come to visit Il Paradiso di Frassina are the most important thing for us and it is our greatest care to make sure that they are cuddled and they live an unforgettable experience! Your visit happened during the busiest period of the year, when we have the greater flow of people concurrently with the harvest time, and it can happen that appointments overlap, like your! We kindly ask you to recontact us once you'll be back in Italy and it will be a real pleasure for us to have you as guests for a new tour and tasting. Best Regards, Il Paradiso di Frassina

Nice location and idea, bad owner's management
Oct 2017 • Friends
The place is great (as many other in the areas). The idea of growing better plants with music is certainly interesting and surely the owner had an inspired idea in pursuing it to produce wine.
Problem is however with the owner himself.
Even though he is quite talkative and ready to explain, our experience was completely smashed by the fact that after a long talk we tried to taste the wine. Unfortunately in 3 out of 5 different bottles he offered us to try, there were small flies inside. A lot of them.
Basically the wine had gone bad or they left the bottles opened through the night in a humid place, attracting disgusting mosquitoes.
The owner did not even offered to open new bottles for us. He just passed on to the other bottles. Eventually we refused to drink.
However, he still charged us 20 Euros for tasting basically nothing.
I had the strong feeling the whole place was mostly set up to attract tourists, more than to truly research and provide a real enhancement to growing plants with music.
Overall, an experienced I do not reccomand.

I’m really sorry for that visit of those 4 or 5 italian , very good people interested to my explanation of the phonobiological researches that I make in my winery . They have listen carefully to my explanation with curiosity for one quarter of an hour I have to anticipate that soon after the harvest especially with the summer heat of this year the fruit flies infest every drop of wine that is left outside the bottle and they can arrive into the wine of the bottle in a very short time as soon as you open the bottle , it insect is called “drosofila” totally innocuous from a pathogenic point of view. This was … fruit flies! no mosquitoes! It happened that morning that some bottles opened the day before and even if regularly closed with a vacuum cork top had some fruit flies … my fault !! There where two other bottles that where completely saved but the guest have refused to drink the wine and didn’t even let me continue to explain … they went away without asking me to open other bottles … of course I would have done it ! I have over 5000 visitor every year since 10 years and it never happened something similar Carlo Cignozzi

Great experience

Il Paradiso di Frassina was recommended by our hotel. If you are in Montalcino, it is worth a visit.

The winery is about 15 minutes from Montalcino. We used our phone's GPS to find it. When you get to the main road turn off, you see a small sign and a dirt road up a moderately steep hill - with no vineyard in sight! Fear not! Once you reach the top of the hill you will immediately see the vineyard and the winery - which is a postcard picture on a sunny September afternoon!

And you'll hear Mozart as you near the winery!

The tour was not as interesting as hearing about the history from the owner. Then comes the tasting which we enjoyed (and purchased a couple of bottles).

This is a little off the beaten path, but worth the effort. We recommend Il Paradiso di Frassina.
