I have been visiting Il Cocco for years and just realized that I've never written a review! My experience here began when I was traveling solo to Italy and did a wine tour that visited the property. I was so impressed with the beautiful estate, the hospitality and of course, the wine. My husband finally got to visit a few years ago and see where the delicious wine that he drinks all the time originates from and he was equally impressed. And then, last year when I brought my father to Italy for what will probably be his only visit in his life, Giacomo arranged for a private tasting and explained the viticulture and answered all of his many questions. This alone will forever endear me to this family and solidifies my loyalty to their brand but you would be remiss to be in the area and not arrange a visit. The passion and creativity for all things involved in the winemaking process is obvious and the respect for the land, nature and the symbiotic relationship of all the things that live and grow there is admirable. My family and I had the most wonderful experience when we visted Il Cocco. The vinyard is set in the most beautiful surrounds with lovely views in all directions. We started the visit with a delicious lunch (as a family we voted it the best meal we had on our trip which included a number of amazing restaurants). There was a choice of starters, primi and secondi courses so between the four of us we tried a variety of dishes all of which were superb (with a special mention for the Wild Boar Stew!). Giacomo then gave us a tasting of the various wines all of which we enjoyed and have ordered to be delivered. Giacomo is an excellent speaker and is extremely knowledgeable about wines in general and his in particular so we spent a very informative couple of hours in his company. I absolutely recommend a visit to Il Cocco to include lunch - it is an unforgettable experience!…

We visited here for lunch and loved everything about it - it was a very authentic experience in a warm and down-to-earth agroturismo and winery. The service was excellent and the food was Tuscan style in the best sense - simple but incredibly delicious recipes made with fresh and high-quality ingredients (vegetables and herbs from own garden), and perfectly cooked. Their wines were so tasty we ordered a dozen shipped home. Bonus pats with farm dogs after lunch.…
