Took a spontaneous trip down to the Montalcino region instead of spend more time in Siena and just dropped in to this winery. The lady working was super friendly and good conversation. She provided us with wine education during our tastings as well as we were unable to do a tour since we didnt book ahead. Worth a stop for a tasting or just a glass. the also provide shipping of 6/12 bottles etc.

I like fine wine and I will pay money for what I like. I travel the world going to the best wine regions. I know good stuff.....But I appreciate a good value also. This is a cooperative with various brands. Growers putting resources together and it is a great idea!!! Great wines from different areas at good prices. The tasting area is limited in size and that should be fixed, but the staff was nice. Bought a case to ship back home. The German tourists had to use the hand truck to load up the trunk of their car with wine. I would be here regularly if I could. I was so happy to find it. Nice shopping area also!

There tends to be a smugness from the merchants in Montalcino, perhaps due to the possibly uninitiated appreciation for this magnificent wine. Being low season, we were hardly demanding - only asking for advice. Other Tuscan wine experiences were more friendly and not trying to up-sell. As a result, we came away preferring the Montepulcianos.

We were two couples traveling through Tuscany and decided to stop for a wine tasting and purchase wine to take back to the US. There was one man at the desk who virtually ignored the 4 of us ( standing in front of him) while he worked on a computer. No other customers or staff were in the building.

We finally asked if we could have a tasting. He grudgingly got up from the desk, walked one foot over and put out some glasses. Showed us 2 wines and asked us which we wanted to try. He was so abrupt and rude.

We had to practically beg him to sell us multiple bottles of wine and olive oil. No smile, no information and barely any service. Mind you the entire place has signage stating they are doing tastings and selling wine. Lots of signs advertising food and wine tastings but no customer service.

If you aren't going to staff your tasting and selling floor with someone who is genuinely interested in doing the job, even the basics ( like acknowledging customers standing in front of you)-- put up a closed sign for the day. We wasted our time at this place and had many other wineries and wine options elsewhere.
