great return to Montalcino
Jul 2021
The first time I bought from them was 1990, I still do. It is definetly the best Enoteca I know worldwide and Nicola and his wife as well as his dad and the whole staff are just great! If you want to eat authentic Tuscan food, don`t go any further, they also serve one of the best Pincis in town, as well as salumii, formagii and the whole lot. I don`t talk a bout their wines, because it`s endless. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DO! By the way: Nicola also sells my novel „Brunello, Sex & Rock n Roll”

Good Tuscan food with Brunello
May 2021 • Family
The Enoteca is right in the heart of Montalcino and their kitchen and food is maybe somewhat surprisingly really good. Starting with some bruschetta really sets the mood for the accompanying Brunello wines but their Tuscan specialties such as the tomato and bread based pappa el pomodoro soup are also worth a try.

We still buy from them, 6 years later
Apr 2020
We visited Montalcino for our 25th wedding anniversary six years ago and fell in love with this wine room. They have fantastic wines, prices, and customer service. We shipped a case home to enjoy after our vacation had ended. We continue to buy several cases a year from them, because no one compares to their online store. There are lots of wines you can purchase with free shipping to the US and the wine prices are very reasonable. Their customer service rocks (Grazie mille, Linda)!

Tasting
Aug 2018 • Family
Our family and friends visited Montalcino and this enoteca few days ago. We wanted to visit this place in order to taste as many Brunellos as possible. For that purpose, the place wss good as they have plenty of options for Brunellos. When we asked for advice, the people working in Enoteca were helpful. However, we did not learn history of Brunello etc. when visiting this place. So in that sense the visit was nothing special. Also be aware that the prices are not really cheap.

Creativity and entrepreurship seamlessly combined in an excellent wine tasting/buying experience
Aug 2018 • Couples
Having visited many wineries and done many tastings in France and Italy, this was a uniqie set up with 100 wines from across Italy to taste in an original formula. Of course there was focus on Brunello but there were plenty of other options to go for. All of this was supported by the gifted storytelling of the store owner, who was both passionate and knowledgeable about his trade. He guided us towards the best wines, even if some of these were actually cheaper than some of the better known bottles. We ended up placing a sizeable order with the vast intention to return in the future...

Deep knowledge and selection
Jun 2018 • Couples
Once Francesca realized we were serious about our quest for a particular flavor, she quickly honed in on an excellent and (relatively) affordable representation. Our shipment home to the States arrived on schedule, in good condition. Both the selection and shipping processes were far easier than we'd expected.

Nice experience
May 2018 • Couples
I'm back home and drinking one of the wines that we shipped back. As for the prices, they weren't much less than we could have ordered from the least expensive wine dealers in the US, but the big difference is we actually got to try them first. There weren't many people there because it was later in the day and during the off-season, so we had the full attention of, I believe, Samuel (sp?). He was very patient and knowledgable and once he figured out our tastes made some excellent suggestions. We couldn't afford the twelve bottles of wine needed for free shipping, so we bought six Brunellos and six
Montalcino Rossos and paid $45 for the shipping - more than fair in my opinion.. We
sampled a lot of wine and learned a lot about Brunello. Let me just add that there is another shop in town that appears to have the same, or similar, name. We went there and were disappointed considering the reviews we read . I'm glad we accidentally stumbled across the right shop.

Great Experience

We enjoyed our tasting experience. Staff was very welcoming and kind. They described with passion and clarity how Montalcino wines are made. Then, we tasted different wines of different years and with different aging processes.
It is worth a visit!
