Beautiful vineyard in great location and they make extremely good wine. This winery is maybe a bit larger than some. We had our tour with the Wine maker which was very interesting and enlightening. Sadly, we were paired with Australians' who decided to bring toddlers to a winery and tasting which is galactically stupid. But in the end, the vineyard staff managed to separate us for the actual wine tasting and we bought quite a few bottles. phenomenal juice!! Property and facilities were amazing.

My husband and I spent a magical afternoon at the Poggio Antico winery. Daniele presented our group with a very interesting, educational tour of their amazing facility. Vineyards set in the rolling landscape of their property just have to produce world class Brunello wines. The wine tasting was a highlight of our trip to the region. The three bottles of their top wines were a treat for us for during the remainder of our stay in Italy. I highly recommend a meal at the restaurant located next to the winery following the wine tasting. The food and service were excellent, and it gave us the time and sustenance to alleviate the wonderful after effects of the wine before we had to drive back to our hotel.

Our visit to Poggio Antico exceeded our expectations. The manicured vineyards, olive groves, cypress trees, and panoramic views make it an ideal backdrop for your Tuscan vacation photos. While some may consider the wines expensive, they are world class and worth every penny. We tasted (and purchased) "Madre", "Lemartine", and the 2004 Brunello di Montalcino. The big surprise is the on-site restaurant. We dined "al fresco" in the garden. A very nice setting overlooking the vineyards. All of the food is prepared by hand with fresh wholesome ingredients. The wait staff and food presentation is definitely a 5-star dining experience (yet still casual and fun). The employees in the winery and in the restaurant are very helpful and accomodating. On our next trip to Italy we will return to Poggio Antico.

The wine was pretty good but you taste it in a small room with a commercial feel. Each wine is separate and quite expensive so it's not really worth it. Plenty of more authentic experiences. I wouldn't recommend stopping here

What an amazing place! Our wine guide Nicoletta did a superb job. And she works there for only one year. Very distinctive, informative and passioned about what she does. Not to forget the tasting itself. Amazing wines and great explanations. The vineyard is super clean, neat and elegant. It ‘s impossible not to bring some amazing wines home.

One if the best experiences during our Tuscany (wine) trip.

Unfortunately, I have mixed feelings for Poggio Antico. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, staff friendly and helpful, and the tour itself was interesting. The wine tasting was expensive compared to others and the wines themselves were not that interesting (at least to us). We only found one bottle of six that we thought was of equal quality to the asking price. Tasting room was hot even with the weather still cool outside. I think you could probably have a better wine tasting elsewhere but I do have to say you can't beat the scenery at this location.

My husband and I were in Italy a few weeks ago and visited this vineyard. We were very impressed with the passion they have for their wine and the process, and even more so of the wine. We aren't even big drinkers but we loved the SMOOTHNESS and taste of their wines so much we ordered 4 cases!!! We took it to our favorite Italian resturant here in St Pete Beach Florida last weekend and gave our waiter a taste and he loved it too. It's a great local vineyard with GREAT wines. I HIGHLY recommend you try them. And they ship to the US!!! Very reasonably priced too.

I have traveled to hundreds of vineyards and I must say that our experience at Poggio Antico was truly the most welcoming and warm reception that we have ever had. Their wines are spectacular. Please buy their amazing olive oil, you will not be disappointed.

Great vineyard with delicious, nicely-priced wines and wonderful people. We enjoyed it so much, this was our second visit to the vineyard. The tour of the vineyard and cellars is very informative, the vineyard is beautiful, and the winetasting covers three very different styles of Brunello di Montalcino, and their IGT wines as well.
Very easy to schedule a visit. Definitely worth shipping their wine home, and - just as important - easy to order more from the states when you want to order more ... which you will!

From the moment you enter the tree-lined driveway, you know you're in for a treat at Poggio Antico. Stellar winemaking amidst classic Tuscan beauty in the heart of Montalcino make for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Their Brunellos are legendary but don't miss out on the Rosso di Montalcino, which are somewhat more approachable and have become a staple on our dinner table.
