INCREDIBLE AND MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE, A MUST DO!
Sep 2019
This was one of THE MOST magical experiences of our Tuscan experience! Laura made it so memorable by creating a special and personalized wine tasting for us. She spent so much time explaining the different wines and also taking us through the vineyards which made it all the more interesting. It was certainly one of the best vineyards we visited in the Tuscan countryside. We still look back on it with such fondness and we can't wait to go back!

A must!
Aug 2019
Our visit to this winery stood out from others. Not only was the wine superb, the tasting experience was thoughtful and informative. Laura, the state manager, is knowledgeable and gave us an interesting history of the area and its recent growth. She talked about the challenges of bringing grapes to harvest - from plantings through the challenges of weather and wild boars. It was a delightful and valuable experience

Don't Miss out on this Gem of a Winery

Laura is fantastic! She really cares about your experience. We visited 3 wineries in Montalcino and loved them all equally as each one has their own personality and experience. The story of Il Palazzone is quite interesting and their wines are superb.

Brunello Experience
Sep 2018 • Couples
Did a tour and wine tasting with Laura. Being Scotish, she was easy to understand and very thorough in her description. We learned quite a bit about the Brunello wine region and the intracacies of producing the wine.
The wine tasting is in a classic setting with 3 wines to sip, ponder and enjoy. It would be difficult to leave without ordering a bottle or 2 for future enjoyment.
The winery is small and remote but has a charm and character different from the larger coops.
Please follow Laura's detailed directions for getting there with photos of landmarks along the path. It would not be an easy place to find on your own or by navigation system.
Great wine, great tour and an interesting discussion of wine, culture and the Brunello experience.

Excellent tour
Jun 2018 • Couples
We absolutely loved our tour with Laura and felt it was worth every euro! The vineyard is very pretty and walkable from the fort although steep in places. Laura was a fantastic host, so knowledgeable and welcoming. The depth of the information we were given surpassed the other wine tastings we did in enotecas. It also included grappa and fresh olive oil which is overlooked elsewhere but very interesting! The wines at the tasting were lovely and varied to really educate us in the differences between the vintages. Book now!

Good wines

Good tasting wines that locals are producing for the name “Parsons” on the bottle’s labels. The hospitality was good, although rushed when we visited unfortunately. After visiting other smaller family owned vineyards, this was not our favorite stop.

If you are looking for an out of the way, very special winery tour, this is it. Just Wow! The views, the vineyard and the great hospitality. We were made to feel like VIP's by Laura who manages the winery. She took us a private tour, explained all the details of how the place was built, how it is run. She was very informative and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this experience.

Esther provided an entertaining, interesting and valuable lesson in wine tasting, as well as the history of the vineyard, and the making of Brunello. All of us, ranging from wine drinker to wine connoisseur, enjoyed our time at Il Palazzone immensely. We will be back!! Thank you so much!

Drop Dead Great Wines
Oct 2016 • Couples
This winery, very close to the city of Montalcino, makes some of the best Brunellos around. Their 2010 was incredible. Laura, the GM, loves to give you the true skinny about the locals.
