There is nothing spectacular about the house. Some rooms are barely furnished. There are a few very good statues, sculptures and paintings. The views from the windows are stunning. The gardens just had summer flowers in bloom. They were fresh and colorful.

This villa has a very beautiful and peaceful botanical garden. The entrance fee was 9.00 Euros. I really recommend for flower lovers, beautiful scenes where you can take amazing photographs.

This attraction is easily within walking distance and well worth the entrance fee. If you"re pensioners take proof because they do have a special rate and in the summer heat take lots of fluids to drink as it can be quite tiring.

The botanical garden was spectacular! Lots of different areas to see. It was a very hot day but in the garden it felt quite cool and calm. Unfortunately we didn't understand how big the garden was and didn't have enough time to explore the whole place (1 hour wasn't enough time for us). Easy to reach there by boat.

We visited Villa Carlotta by ferry from Varenna, which was really straight forward. The map provided at the ticket office suggests a route through the park which takes around 90 minutes. This stroll took us through citrus walkways, a bamboo forest, beautiful colourful planting, a cactus garden and past a pool of terrapins! The house had some beautiful artefacts and... More

Villa Carlotta is quite close to The Grand Hotel, Caddenabia, Lake Como, being a short walk away. it has magnificent grounds and a wonderful house. Remember to take your National Trust card with you and you will get a 12 lire reduction. I had mine, but my sister didn't.

Villa Carlotta Beautiful setting & amazing gardens with views to die for! We arrived at about 12 lunch time – an excellent time to go as there were very few people there - I guess a lot of them were having lunch somewhere as it did get busier later on. We had a quick look round the house ( nice)... More

Went past this beautiful villa on the boat from Como to Bellagio . From the water it was magnificent and on the way back by car we could see how well maintained it was. A standout on an amazing area
