Nicest house I've ever seen

Paradise can't be nicer. Perfectly maintained. The owner lived there eecently enough for it not to fully feel like a museum just yet.

This has got to be the most arresting location in the universe. The place looks unspeakably romantic on approaching it from the water, revealing layers of beauty and undescribable descriptive beauty. It's dead easy to find as it juts out all the way from shore right up to the middle making the short voyage from Lenno, to gasp and gawk... More

Refinement. Too often, the European castels and villas make me feel inconfortable as they are too big and are too ''bling bling''. This one is different. The gardens, the difference points of views, the library, the villa itself. Wow!

This was one of the places I most enjoyed while traveling around Lake Como. Yes, everything around the lake is beautiful but Villa Del Balbianello is really worth visiting and spending time - I was lucky to arrive a few minutes before sunset and the view was astonishing.

This is a beautiful way to spend a few hours in a small village near Lake Como. Our tour guide did a great job - telling us the history and the personality behind this Villa. We took the water taxi from Como to the Tremezzina port and walked up to the Villa. We loved the tour itself, the history, the... More

Our tour was arranged by the great folks of Il Porticciolo Viaggi excursions. Even though it poured, the comfortable excursion boat met us at the Grand Hotel Menaggio and our large group exited the pool area directly to the boat and made our way to Villa del Balbianello. Inside the Villa was historically and visually beautiful. This site was of... More

It's magical! Spend 2 - 3 hours on a sunny afternoon. Location, backdrop and overall garden landscape is breathtaking. Was good to visit the Vila and understand history if you are into it. It's bit of a walk and hike from the water bus station, around 30 minutes. you can take a water taxi if you are not able to... More
