This is a must when in Como, just remember that they are not open on Mondays. Grab the ferry, for 15euros you can get a day pass, and get off at Lenno. You can either walk or go to the beach and grab a water...More

We almost missed this place because of confusing ferry-boats, but I'm so glad we made it there on our last day! Such a beautiful place and views! Took the ferry to Lenno. We walked to the Villa, and it took about 15 minutes for us,...More

Surreal location on Lake Como. A must visit with the tour. We did it as part of the tour on Taxi boat Varenna and this is my recommendation on how to see it. Owned by an explorer , it contains momentos of his many expeditions....More

Previous reviewers who enjoyed these gardens have written in depth of the history and location, expensive perhaps, but a quality experience. The walk to the gardens from Lenno is comfortable, gradual uphill sections, wide comfortable pavement underfoot. Take your time enjoy the wooded walk which...More

I have to agree with the others that Villa del Balbianello is hugely overpriced. It goes without saying that the location is stunning, but 20 euros per person was totally over the top. The grounds are beautiful, but it does only take about 10 minutes...More

Compared with some of the other villas with gardens around the center of Lake Como, this one is not large or complex. However, it is beautifully maintained. It sits on a peninsula that extends into Lake Como and commands a view up and down the...More

Opted to pay for a guided tour of the villa and so glad that we did. The villa is rich in history! There is so much to see within the villa and associated buildings. The tour guide was excellent, sharing interesting tales to do with...More

Beautifull place! The best thing to see at lake Como! When I will make 25 years of marriage, I will renew it in this place! Like Anakin and Amidala! ❤️

it is a pleasant walk from Lenno to the villa although a lot of it is uphill. you can visit the house and Gardens for 20e or 10e for just the gardens that are spectacular. take a camera as the views are amazing.
