Best to arrive by boat than walking up - only 7 Euros return. Do please take the tour - it is absolutely worth it, and a great story of a noble Italian gent. Wonderful gardens too, but the highlight is the tour of the buildings.

Visited as part of a managed tour. Had never heard of this but it became the highlight of the tour in terms of breathtaking views, surroundings and masterpieces of world travel collectables together with some of the most beautifully laid our gardens. Approaching from the...More

We got married here and it was just incredible. All of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to. From the boat ride over here to the ceremony, food, drinks and views. The ceremony was personal and just beautiful. We had...More

The views from the gardens and water taxi are stunning. We did not tour the villa but appreciated the short film shown in the loggia relating the last owner's (Guido Monzino's) life and use of the villa. We walked from the ferry dock to the...More

The garden is beautiful and the house is very interesting. It was expensive for what we got and the tour was very rushed. We had to leave one room before the next group came in. Villa Carlotta is much more interesting.

A great place to visit, especially if you are a James Bond or Star Wars fan. The villa is not open on Mondays or Wednesdays. The beginning of Casino Royale was filmed on the lawn here and apparently a part of Star Wars was filmed...More

Took the ferry over from Bellagio to Lecco and hiked out to the Villa. (Nice stroll along the Lecco waterfront and slightly strenuous hike out) A water taxi from Lenno is very nice (we took it back) if you don't want to hike. Gorgeous grounds...More

If you've seen "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" or "Casino Royale", you are probably already familiar with the grounds - the estate played a role in each film. But the really fascinating story is that of the last owner, Count Guido...More

it is a pleasant walk from Lenno to the villa although a lot of it is uphill. you can visit the house and Gardens for 20e or 10e for just the gardens that are spectacular. take a camera as the views are amazing.

From the public landing stage take left and walk along the lake side for 500 mt, then you will find the shuttle at the Lido di Lenno. It is a flat walk, there are benches where you can relax. In 5 minutes it's done.
