About
Nestled between two sheer rock faces that are connected by an arched bridge, this narrow cove is a unique and breathtaking spot on the Amalfi Coast. It draws flocks of travelers, especially during summer, who love swimming in its calm waters and sunbathing on its pebbly beach. Head up to the bridge for amazing views from the top—you might even catch a couple of adrenaline seekers cliff-jumping. To get there, drive to the quaint village perched atop the cliffs and hike down the path to the beach. Visit the cove on a tour of the Amalfi Coast, which often includes a stop here. – Tripadvisor

    Adventure
It was an adventure we left Sorrento on a ferry to Amalfi and then a local bus to Fiordo di Furore. we asked the driver to let us know where to get off once we got off amazing beautiful view unfortunately we didn’t go in the water as it was too cold. On the way back right in front .

Furore is beautiful experience at right time
Crystal clear water. Beautiful views. Cool experience. Go very early or late to avoid crowds. Midday is too many people. Bring water shoes to walk in comfort on rocky beach. Chairs available for around 10 euro each. No towels available, bring your own. Water, plain potato chips and limited soda and peroni available for purchase.

    Amazing beach!
Great beach & you can rent chairs for about 25 euros each chair!! I recommend some water shoes or sandals to be comfortable walking on rocks rather than barefeet! But its perfect beach location especially in the morning there is shade until around 11:00 then it’s fully exposed to the sun ! very scenic

    Really picturesque beach
The place is really picturesque with amazing waters. The way to go down to the beach is not very difficult. We visited the place in August so it was quite crowded but still there was space at the beach. There is also a bar at the back side. The only reason I chose 4 stars was because the beach was a little dirty and that some boats came quite close to the shore. Also, after around 16:00 there is shade there.

MANY, MANY STEPS, UP AND DOWN
We were staying at the Bacco Furore Hotel and my husband decided to walk to the Fiordo. The foot path consists of hundreds of steps there and back and is quiet steep in places. The route is not well signed so it is advisable to take your mobile with you in case you get lost. The walk is not suitable for anybody that has a disability, or young children unless you want to carry them. It took my husband about 45 minutes each way and it was physically demanding for a fit 77 year old. Do not forget to take plenty of water. There is a pebble beach which is well shaded and deep water swimming. You can even dive off the cliffs, or even the bridge if you are mad enough. My husband says never again, next time he will take the bus.

Incredible day here! Most beautiful environment. Lovely water. Hired two sun beds, parked up and soaked it all up. In and out of the emerald blue water, kids jumped off the rock walls. One of our best swims in Italy so far (possibly only topped by Manarola on the Cinque Terre coast further north)

An interesting natural phenomenon, such a fjord in Amalfi style, all guidebooks write about it, so it is simply impossible to miss this miracle of the Italian world. We've been here twice. The first time in March, out of season, it was terribly cold and pronounced, but there was practically no one, we enjoyed its beauty and emptiness. But at the beginning of August there were just so many people on guard here. Starting from the road, from which you need to go down the steps along one of the rocks to get into the crevice, where the cunning Italians have fouled up the beach and simple entertainment. The beach is rocky, like the cobblestones on Sochi or Yalta beaches. The water is, however, very clean. It is better to come for a swim in the morning or afternoon. In the evening, a huge shadow falls from the cliff, so the entire beach is left without sun. But in the heat this is a blessing.

Posto incantevole... Bellissimo! Cool sea, nice, there were people but it is not an overcrowded place indeed... Yet in July there were people, but well-paid. You arrive safely with the bus line... We from Maiori with a ticket of 2.40 € arrived in Amalfi (15 minutes) where you immediately take the connection (with the same ticket) x Furore Fjord... (bus direction Sorrento via Positano) there is the stop directly on the fjord where you have to go down quite a few stairs and you get to this Surreal place... Definitely worth a visit and a beautiful bath! We had towels but I saw that there is availability of sunbeds and a kiosk with some drinks and more. Consigliato!

We were staying at Furore and this attraction was straight down the hill approximately 3000 stairs down from our apartment.

We climbed down with great energy. The view is postcard-perfect. The descent with the staircase is a continuous discovery of ever-evolving panoramas, worth the effort to reach it. We took lots of pictures while climbing down. When we reached the Fiordo, the view from the bridge overlooking the fjord was enchanting. We reached that place when it was without people. Therefore the crystal clear water had an even more spectacular charm.

You cannot park in the transit area, you have to park your car (if you can find space) at the nearest bar obviously having a drink. Continuing you go down the steps, I counted them 172 to be exact!!! Lovely place being June in the afternoon it was a nice walk, few people satisfying. Be careful if you have children on the steps, they can slip easily.

The 'fjord' is not the best beach, but actually it's a bit different - offers some shade and the swimming is interesting, goes really deep.
Why the crazy bats? The Sentiero dei pipistrelle impazziti goes from via 1 Maggio on the Amalfi side of the gorge and drops down the cliff to the bottom. It's marked as 'closed for repairs' which is a lie, no-one's worked on it for years, we decided to try it anyway having reached the top of it. Realised we might have to retrace our steps if we'd met a rockfall, but made it. Had to negotiate several fallen trees so don't do it unless you're physically agile, be ready to retreat if necessary. It's a shame as the path is spectacular and interesting. Come on tourist office, get it fixed!
... Locanda del fiordo offered a great meal, reasonable prices, friendly service, 200m on coast road towards Positano.

The best beach on the Amalfi Coast. The water is crystal clear and people jump from the rocks (we even saw someone jump from the bridge!). Free, not busy and great vibes. Plus the bus goes there.
