Mandraki Harbour is in the older part of Rhodes Town and is simply stunning. At the entrance to the harbour there are two pillars either side with deer on the top of them which was the supposed location of the Colossus of Rhodes.
An excellent walking harbour where you see all boats from yachts to ferries, and where just the right mix of restaurants and shops is close at hand. Stroll leisurely, and enjoy. And the church is marvelous!

We did not do any of the trips but they went to local resorts and Simi. You do not get much time in Simi as it takes so long to get there and back. Everyone told us the trips to Turkey were a rip off as you were trapped in Turkish carpet and gold jewellery places and saw little of anywhere else. A real hard sell
