Excellent Private Tours

Visiting Rhodes recently we wanted to see particular historical/cultural /religious sites and decided that the best way for us to do this would be to arrange some private tours. We contacted Nicholas at Rhodes Private Tours and were delighted to find that he was happy to arrange some bespoke tours, three in all to our specifications. Our driver, Michael, was very friendly, helpful and flexible and more than happy to modify our itineraries on the day as we had changed our minds a bit about some of the sites we had specified. Each day he arrived to pick us up exactly on time. The car was clean inside and out and Michael proved to be a very able driver with whom we felt very comfortable throughout. Private tours are not cheap, of course but ours were well worth the money and we would thoroughly recommend Rhodes Private Tours.

The most amazing private tour for 2. Excellent value!

George was our tour guide and was outstanding . Going on tour with him was like having a personal magical story teller. He brought the history of medieval Rhodes to life for us and was patient with all our questions. We wanted specific things from our tour : to understand the Crusades, find out about the Colossus of Rhodes and to visit the Jewish museum. George was fantastic! He is vastly knowledgeable, his English is flawless, and he doesn’t stick to a “script “. His open-hearted manner actually invites questions and he seems to know everyone in Rhodes ! Our 3 hour tour was topped off by a visit to his favourite restaurant with fabulous local food . So our 3 hours ended up as 5 hours of amazing stories, insights into life today in the Greek islands ( ask about education and how teacher have to “island hop”. Fascinating !) and history . This tour truly “made” our holiday . Cost was €120 for a private tour for just my husband and I for 3 hours ( which became 5!) . Worth every single penny!

A grand day out

We contacted Nicholas via email from our hotel during our 2 week stay in Rhodes. The response was received within 12 hours, advising he could accommodate our personal / tailored itinerary, and clearly advised pricing and timings. We agreed straight away and, as expected Michael arrived on time to start our tour a couple of days later. The tour itself was full, showing us aspects of Rhodes we would not have found ourselves and we had a great day. Nick telephoned the car a couple of times during the day, to ensure we were all ok and happy. Great customer service and knowledge throughout. recommended by Matt Barrett - on his website and it was great value for money.

Best Tour of Rhodes

This was our second visit to Rhodes and our tour was fantastic. We saw so much more than our first visit, both in Rhodes and in Lindos and points in between. Liana led us on great walking tours at each site with great commentary as to what we were seeing. We had 2 stops on the road for a pottery demonstration which turned out great and a roadside olive oil/honey/wine stand where my wife loaded up with balsamic vinegar. We were never in any crowds, as she had a back way and less”touristic” way into everything. We finished with lunch at Argos. Fabulous food and views. Right on the water. 5 stars all the way

Excellent private tour option in Rhodes

Lovely day out with Stergos today. We had already seen a few sights around Rhodes and they were able to put together a personalised private tour. Sergos gave us an excellent insight into life on Rodos, showed us places off the beaten track and we genuinely felt like guests/friends in his company. Highly recommend for those only here for a short time and looking to learn more about the island / culture and cover off a lot of ground in a day.

Great tour with Michael!

We had a great morning tour with Michael, arranged just a couple of days before with Nicholas via email who was very accommodating. The car was very comfortable and air conditioned (which was great given it was 28 degrees!). Michael took us down to the square in Lindos (only cars can go down there so this is a real advantage of a private tour in a car rather than bus - it looked a hot walk down and up to the main car park) and then we had 1 hr 15 mins to explore the beautiful Lindos alleyways and my husband walked up to the acropolis. We enjoyed the Vanilla cafe for a drink and snack near the square entrance and sat on the rooftop terrace. Michael then took us to various beautiful viewing spots of the various bays, a ceramic workshop, and to the ancient sites outside Rhodes Old Town. He told us all about the history of Rhodes during the tour which was very interesting. It was a great way to see a lot in a short time and very easy and comfortable, would highly recommend.

Private tour Rhodes West Coast

We were staying at Ixia 5 km south of Rhodes town on the west coast and wanted to find a tour of the area to understand some of the history and culture of the island. We booked a 6.30 hs tour and visited Rhodes town, the acropolis of Rhodes, ancient Kamiros, a lovely vineyard, the valley of the butterflies and the acropolis of lalysos. Communications before we traveled were excellent, we had a choice of itineraries and on the day everything went on time and to plan. Our driver Kostas was brilliant, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the island and its people. Many thanks to Kostas for a wonderful day! This company has many positive reviews on this site and they are well deserved! We will definitely book with them again when we return to this beautiful island.

Best of Rhodes Private Tour

We were a Family of free and wanted to have a tour giving us the insights into Rhodes as a basis for our stay and further excursions. The flexibility and openness and easy process was just great. Choosing this tour with Nickolas and Team was the right choice!

Our tour guide Michael picked us up and was on-time 😀 He was very welcoming and easy to connect with and made us feel comfortable immediately. He is very knowledgeable about the tour sights and also shared some great stories to connect with the history of the beautiful Island of Rhodes, this made it not just interesting but very personal. Our experience was stress free and relaxing, doing things at our own pace and this is what vacationing is all about!

Awesome Custom Tour

We arrived by cruise ship. We wanted to visit the Fortress but also wanted to get away from the crowds, enjoy a lunch and have some beach time. This company was exceptional to work with. They recommended a modification to one of their standard tours, got my input, made a recommendation in line with my input and delivered our best day of the 18 days we spent in Greece. They met us at the gangway of our cruise ship and delivered everything they committed to. Use this company. They will help you find an agreeable itinerary and deliver a great day.

Old Town Walking Tour

We took the Old Town Walking Tour of Rhodes with Kostas from the cruise ship pier. This was a private tour for just my wife and I. The tour was very interesting and informative. Kostas was a great guide and showed us a spot for lunch away from the crowds that we went back to for a great meal. Communication was great during the booking process and Nicholas and Kostas were both at the pier to greet us when we arrived. Highly recommend this tour.
