Interesting building , architecture looks oriental , arabian bazaar or turkish caravansarai . Situated in Mandraki port , a lot of shops , fast food (good gyros for 2.5 euro + 1.20 euro drink) and regular food restaurants , jewellries and all sorts of shops . In the back of the market you can find THE BUS STATION (with destinations to the rest of the island)

There’s really not much to see here. It’s not a market in the traditional sense of the word. There are a few small jewellery shops, a few small souvenir shops and a few small food takeaway places. There’s a tiny park and a large white gazebo-like structure, but that about it. Unfortunately, any tranquility one might enjoy here is soon destroyed by the deafening sound of motorcycles and/or leaf blowers.

No visit to Rhodes is complete without going there- it is located right in front of the pier and the smells and the colours are unique- as is this marvellous island- definitely a must just to look around

It has seven corners but is only about two stories high. Lovely to look at from the outside and just as interesting inside with the central courtyard and the old fish market hall which has fish reliefs on the columns. Inside it is a little cooler than outside on the harbourside and if you are looking for some refreshments you'll find them in here or in one of the shops that are to be found under the arches that face the harbour.
It is situated down by the water front and looks out over the Mandraki Harbour.

This is the new market area overlooking Rhodes Town harbour. Lots of small shops and eateries inside.

Found this market close to the main bus stop. Nothing too exciting. Did find a lovely restaurant where we had lunch. All the shops sell pretty much the same things. Cheaper than the shops in the old city though. Always worth a visit

The Nea Agora is a lovely little semi covered market with a selection of tourist shops and tavernas. Its nice for a little change from the busier Old Town and to get out of the heat. Its also very near the bus station so good for grabbing something to eat or last minute souvenir shopping before getting your bus. I recommend a little pizza place in the back right corner as you enter from the bus station. The staff are really friendly and the pizzas are cheap and really good - plus there's wifi.

New Market Hall or The Néa Agorá is located opposite Mandraki Harbor. It is a long, white building with a classic entrance. Once the old fish market was located
here on the ground floor, but now it's just a number of cafes and bars, there are also taverns, shops and cafes located in the open area.
Unfortunately, there are no fruit or veg stalls here anymore just tourist souvenirs stalls and lots of cats. The Bus station is located on the West-wing of this building.

TIP: There is a bandstand in the center and clean public toilets underneath it.
