We stayed in Perissa beginning of June this year for a few nights. We were debating whether to stay in Perissa or Karnari but after choosing Perissa, we were 100% happy with our choice. We loved the chilled out vibe of the area, we went swimming in the evenings and never found any difficulty finding a lounger to sit on.... More

Really worthwhile visiting, my kids loved it! The water is clear so the kids went and bought snorkel gear and off they went. The vibe was great, music being played on the beach.Little shops along the way-with nice little goodies forsale.

A bus trip away from Fira, the hot black sand of Perissa with the backdrop of a few mountains and the beach is a nice escape if you're all sightseeing out from Oia and the caldera. Plenty of places to hire a cabana or just find your own way to a spot further down the beach. Bring a towel and... More

Pretty cool to have black sandy beach. Chairs were a bit expensive for the day. All beach chairs have wifi

We stayed for 2 weeks in Santorini and visited both Kamari and perissa a few times. We preferred perissa as the buses to get there were quieter, the beach itself was also quieter. Perissa is more sandy than Kamari also. We found that there was more space on the beach as there weren't as many sunbeds as on Kamari beach.... More

Loved this beach with its volcanic gravel/sand. It is great as the gravel just brushes off, unlike normal sand! The sea is amazingly clear and the beach kept clean, except for the endless fag ends ( my pet hate!) There is a bit of a drop when you get in the water after a few steps, with a few rocks/pebbles, but... More

Make sure you wear something on your feet, the volcano "sand"is very hot and uncomfortable to walk on quiet beach though .we didn't swim in sea but it appeared calm. Others said there were lots of fish .

A Volcanic black sand beach which is very popular. Most of the beach is operated by the restaurant owners and they supply sun beds and umbrellas if you patronise their restaurant for the day. Very crowded and just off a very busy road with no pavements and constant traffic. If you are a beach person who likes to sunbathe all... More

It's a black sand beach, so it burns your feet. The road runs along it and has many places to buy souvenirs or places to eat. You also have to rent out chairs and umbrellas unless you want to bring your own.

As Perissa beach is close to Perivolos beach try both of them as there are a lot of beach bars with nice music and light food
