Beach has black sand and very clean

I personally prefer white sand and clearer water but this beach is local and clean. Very family friendly

I was a little apprehensive when I discovered it was a black sand beach (I started to compare to previous black sand beaches I've visit in the Canaries). But it isn't like that at all. Very clean and more like tiny black pebbles that gritty sand.

Long stretch of fine beach. Black sand. Many tavernas, but still a pleasant, not too crowded atmosphere. Plenty of sun beds provided - often free of charge by restaurants. Water sports plenty

Visited Perissa beach today. A bit better than Kamari beach. The beach is covered with thatched umbrellas...not very picturesque. Next to and parallel to this long beach must be close to a 100 restaurants...all selling the same food at inflated prices. 5 euros for a sun bed. Sea water clear but cold.

Loved this beach. Spent 3 out of 4 days there. Great atmosphere, lovely views of the ocean and the coast is lined with restaurants and bars.

The water is Crystal clear as most of Santorini beaches. The sand is ‎black and not rocky. You can go there any time of the day. Near the ‎beach there are various choices of restaurants and bars. They close the ‎road near the sea for cars in the afternoon. There is a nearby parking, and ‎a bus stop. ‎

First visit to Santorini - enjoyed Perissa Beach (although Kamari still my favourite). Several trendy restaurants with good food and wine. Sun loungers on the beach. Would recommend spending a day there, enjoying the sun!

A very different type of beach especially for the typical black pebbles. We managed to find a beach bar with free beds whilst consuming food and drinks from the same place. The wind during the day also made it more fun. Must see beach in Santorini!!

Very nice beach, clean water, well organized. Free sunbeds (consumption from bar). Various choice of restaurants and bars, in the afternoon the street in front of the sea closes for cars.

A lovely beach to visit for a day trip. The sand is black (and subsequently really hot!!!) which is something different. Water was clean and plenty of room at the beach for everyone. There are lots of restaurants and cafes in close proximity. Easy access from Fira on the local bus (€2.40 from memory).
