The Believe surf team is amazing - every single teacher is super professional and at the same time open minded and heart warming. They give you very good instructions, make feel you safe and they want you to enjoy the fascination of surfing. Alejandro was my teacher for three classes and I just loved to learn from him, to chat with him about life and nature and I had the feeling in just three lessons I came so much further in my skills. I know … my paddeling is still a challenge ;) John is the organisator and he also is always positive, knows your name, is interested and cares about your well-being - and he always smiles, just like everyone there. Thanks so much guys, will never forget you! The Believe Lodge were I stayed was also excellent - Very well organized, super helpful, delicious breakfast and really nice people!

It wasn’t until I left this place that I realised how special it is. I’ve just arrived at a different hostel and I now fully appreciate how great Believe is, it’s easy to take for granted the kind staff, the awesome surf instructors and the basics like free coffee in the morning, cold filtered water and a schedule of the best yoga classes Santa Teresa has to offer. Also, how nice to have hot showers for once. If you’re looking for a chilled place (where the focus is only surfing and yoga) that feels like home after just a few days, this is it. Thanks to all the staff, you guys are great. Wish I could come back soon!

Inquired about availability that showed on their website twice, and no one ever responded to me. If you're booked, great, but at least respond to let people know, and update your website so it doesn't look like you have openings.

The lessons are limited to max 3 students per instructor. We lucked out and had 1 instructor for my fiancé and myself which was great! We were first day beginners and Mary Anne was very patient was gave great instruction on how to surf. Had we had more time, we would have taken more lessons.

Be aware that when you book a dorm room it doesn't have an A/C. Therefore sleeping was a nightmare. Small dorm room that fits 10 people. The room temperature was easily +30 celsius. I think with these prices you could at least install an A/C.
