We took an atv to visit the beaches here. The beaches were secluded and beautiful. We drove as far as we could to the beaches Manzanillo. It was so much fun! We felt we had a beach to ourselves!

Visited in off season for surfing. Very chilled area. Waves ok. A few restaurants and local supermarkets. Having a car is the only way to go really. If you want it busier try Tamarindo.

One of the best beaches in CR. You can explore all day long when it is low tide. Lovely place and great surf spot.

We had a wonderful time surfing as a family with our coach Micky. Nice and strong waves but low enough to feel safe and at ease during the learning process. Amazing experience.

We took a surf lesson here in June 2017 and had an awesome time! Super soft sand, easy beginner surf waves, no rocks or coral reefs to worry about getting banged up on... And considering how close it is to the towns of Mal Pais...More

Cool, laid back beach. Lots of chill friendly dogs roaming around watching surfers. Great for my 9 year old to swim.

Took my first surfing lesson ever at this beach. It poured. The water was so warm it didn't matter. Awesome.

Always bring water, it is hot. You can only get around by 4x4 and quads or ATVs are best. There are places in town that rent if your accommodations does not. The food is excellent! Everything is farm to table no matter where... More

Playa Hermosa is a short distance (3-4 miles north of Santa Teresa) off of the main road. Look for a small sign on the left that says "Colors" sort of faded. Take that left on rough road to ocean and Playa Hermosa (about 1/2... More
