We did a half day snorkeling trip but it still took the majority of the day (which is awesome since it didn't feel rushed). They fed us a great meal on the boat. Hansel was a great tour guide and pointed out stuff to see that I never would have seen. We saw so much and even got to touch a jellyfish. Would definitely recommend!

Kids Sea Camp Belize for the entire family was awesome. We dove with Underwater Belize with Hopkins Bay Resort, Thatch Caye and enjoyed the all-inclusive week with the kids learning to dive.

An offshore dive operation is defined by 3 things; location, staff and boat. Belize underwater is located within striking distance of some of the world's best dive sites so that is a positive but the other two were marginal at best. We dove two days with Underwater Belize. Our guide, Kendrick, was fantastic. Great DM and incredible spotting abilities. Some of the other staff was not as impressive. At one point, I noticed several of the crew sleeping on the boat on the way back from a long day of diving. As one of the novice divers got seasick he ran to the open stern unattended, I had to shout to wake one of the crew to make sure that the guy didn't go overboard. Belize Underwater has some of the largest boats one this part of the coast but on our longer day out (2+ hour ride each way) the boat was crowded and we had engine trouble requiring a a belt change. Boats are bound to have problems but the captain had mentioned that one of his engines was not good and a broken belt can be an indication of lax maintenance.

Having first scuba dived in the mid-sixties, I’ve been around a lot of dive centers. I must highly recommend Belize Underwater. But more importantly, the people. From Melissa at the desk, to Divemasters Kenrick and Tony, Roy, Oscar and Captain Eddy the boat skipper. It was with Belize Underwater that I finished my requirements for PADI certification as Master Scuba Diver. When I first got to Hopkins, I decided I wanted to dive with Hamanasi but they take their guest first and only if they don’t have a full boat do they take non-guests. I needed more assurance than that so I won’t with Belize Underwater—and am I ever glad. I must specifically single Kenrick and Tony. Great guides, great Divemasters. They take time and show you animals one could easily overlook! Try them, you will like them!!!

All of the diving was fantastic, but that's because of the gorgeous healthy Mesoamerican Reef, plentiful fish, friendly nurse sharks and LOTS of Eagle Rays. What makes diving even better is a great crew! Captain Gravy runs a well organized crew. We have been on A LOT of dive boats that are an absolute SH*T show! Both boats were clean, organized and safe and were very comfortable, even on the longer day we went to Glovers Atoll. The deckhands, Kirk (Gallum?) and Chris were super entertaining as well as helpful. They helped you get in and out of your gear, get in and out of the water and set up/clean up the delicious food too (bring an appetite OMG so good!). Oscar was our awesome DM for the 4 days we went out, cleaned our gear each night and then set up all of our gear, made sure we did all of our safety checks, really great diving with him...I could go on and on about how much fun we had and how awesome it was. If we go back to Hopkins, you can be sure we'll go diving with them again!
