Commercial Street is no longer what it was, now that the center of activity has shifted to the Century Shopping Complex near Citizen's Square, but it is still bustling. There are many shops and places to eat, along with a movie theater. The square outside the cinema has line dancing from 6-8pm, which is a big draw for the people of the community. Jing Gao, the popular world photographer from China also has her studio here. It is worth a visit while in Jiaojiang.
