Not worth the ticket price
May 2016 • Friends
For the RMB120 admission ticket, I think it's way too steep. Granted the views of the place is really grand to say the least, I don;t feel the place to be authentic. They do have a nice Hotel and Villa there which is quite expensive but looks nice to stay in for sure.

Grand views, a proud Hakka experience!
Nov 2013 • Family
Visited Meizhou with the folks, to visit my husband's family's roots - the day we arrived we visited the Hakka park and immediately upon arriving it was apparent to us the amount of investment that had gone into this place. The Hakkas are clearly very proud of what they've built here. We paid a fee to take the tour up the mountain (definitely couldn't have walked!!) which was very nice, tried some traditional tea half way up, took some happy snaps with very grand views and scenery. Past the Hakka International hotel which was very grand, then visited the section dedicated to couples getting married to take photos - there were literally dozens of couples taking wedding photos that day (which was a Thursday!). Also with large Shrek and Fiona statues! Watched a traditional dance performance too. We noticed that sections of the park were still under construction so is bound to expand with time. Overall enjoyed the visit, though it is a little 'manufactured' - definitely pay for the buggy tour up the mountain to experience the whole park.

Good place to stay
Nov 2013 • Couples
It's a bit quirky, but a good place to stay. It's a has two sections one being the wedding picture area where you can stay in a choice of different types of accommodation. We stayed in one of the apartments along the scenic photo street. It was full of brides and bridegrooms being photographed against the various sets and scenic background. Unfortunately the other part of the park including the lakes could only be accessed by foot sat the road was being repaired. At night they light up all,the houses, hills, paths etc and its very pretty. The show at 8pm was fun after a few beers.

No admission charge, English language brochure but no English-speaking straff, some drinks & ice cream available, large souvenir shop, all displays have large font English descriptions, efficient use of models and maps.

A must-visit!
Jun 2013 • Family
Hakka Park is a 2-in-1 attraction. It is a great venue for new couples to have their wedding photographs taken, as well as some kind of a theme park for everybody else.

One part of the park can be visited if you took the buggy (that takes more than 10 pax). The road is paved, and there are a few spots where guests could stop for a photo opportunity.

The other part of the park must be explored by feet. There are food/drink stalls, more photography opportunities, and a Hakka performance (if you're there at the right time). There are also budget accommodation within the park, and a few higher-end hotels too.
