Many thanks :) Yes the day was extremely challenging with constant changes to the Road Conditions with snow and ice and gale force winds. Actually from driver perspective was quite fun to deal with. Really glad you understood the challenges and that we were able to raise to them.

This is a bit unfair and missing a significant number of facts! firstly point out your original booking was for June 25, 2021. This was postponed and the option of refund or rescheduled at no cost to an unknown date later in the season. Yes the driver was making a special trip as we had no shuttles arranged for that day as a result of the impact of the Covid Lockdown the actual email read "Can you please confirm this shuttle is required tomorrow? There is not much (actually any) demand for shuttles tomorrow so I am making a special trip currently." The reason for this is demand except weekends maybe was/is non existent since coming out of lockdown. We had no response to that so sent a Text message that was responded on the day but once again you could not confirm. Leaving us with out the ability to confirm with a driver and another operator willing to assist but with Covid Level 2 restrictions on Capacity numbers on the ski area we needed your confirmation to ensure that to enable access to the ski area. In fact we should have been charging you extra to cover our additional costs to provide a special service but we were aiming to honour the original booking as a courtesy. You actually canceled before a decision to close the ski area was made we did not cancel and that is covered in the terms and conditions of which the booking agent would refund. Your final comment on bigger operators! Well I would toughly recommend you use one if you can find one that has the same flexibility as we typically provide. We did everything we could do to provide a service to the ski area in very difficult situation clearly you have not appreciated the complexity put on us or any other operator by the Covid Level 2 restrictions. None of us have been. Unfortunately on this occasion its clear that its easier to complain in a review than appreciate the effort that was made. Consider yourself fortunate you can ski while others remain lockdown in Auckland.

Thank you for your review. We should mention you did the Tongariro Alpine Crossing in reverse which is not a usual path. I was concerned you may not have had very good communication contact which was why I went up the track to check on progress. It is part of our safety plan when we don't have contact with a group who may have encountered difficulty before we contact Search and Rescue (plan B). Was a pleasure to be of service.

Thank you, Our goal is to try and think out of the box with later times no one else wants to do or get you to the crossing without the crowds. The later shuttle is ideal for the prepared fit travelers.

I am quite surprised to read this review and sorry you dont feel it reached the standard you wanted. However the service you were using was a ski area shuttle service running to a schedule. Our records show you booked through the Isite for 915am which left with 6 passengers including the group of 4 you were party of. All our shuttles to the ski area are GPS and dashcam footage recorded. The two customers you said we nearly drove away without I was not aware of being booked for the 915am but for 930am which we had room to take on the earlier time. As for forgetting two groups of 4 at the end of the day we had stated that our return time was 4pm due the weather conditions. We were working with another operator to bring down passengers safely. Unfortunately you missed the 4pm shuttle which did actually leave at 405pm and no contact was made with us until after that time when we were heading up to make a final sweep for customers after the road was closed to uphill traffic due to the snow and the accident. As for that unfortunate road accident no one was injured and I had previously stopped to assist the occupants to make sure they were uninjured. They were not laughed at and yes we have voice recording on the dashcam. This review is unfounded given the service we have been consistently providing positively for the past 3 years and our safety protocols are heavily in place to make sure no one gets left behind and the ongoing service to other customers is not affected.
