Really fun experience with laid back guides who make sure you're safe but don't baby you. The glow worms are incredible and it's ace to get to see them in a small group rather than a boatload of people. Abseiling, tubing, squeezing through small spaces...More

Everithing was exciting. The cave is everithing but crowded, and that's perfect because no one wants to stay in a touristic fake place. Included in the price there are thick diving suit and boots, so you don't feel cold in the water. Are guide Tony...More

Great guide (Daniel) who gave us all the information to be safe, but wasn't over-protective or too cautious, just let us get on with it, which was so great. All 5 activities into one (abseil, rock-climb, cave tubing, glow worms and caving) - our guide...More

Waitomo Cave: Which Company to pick?! (0 Replies)
Hi everyone, I am planning to visit NZ next week and travel via a hop on and hop off bus. We will be stopping in Waitomo for 4 hours. My bus company has been advertising Waitomo Adventures, however, I did notice that there are a few other companies that are very similar. I wish I could stay longer in Waitomo but my bus only allows 4 hours. I was considering Tumu Black Water Tubing or the Lost World from Waitomo Adventures but can not do both due to the time restriction. The two other...More

Returned from the most fabulous trip in New Zealand!!! (5 Replies)
Wow New Zealand. It does not disappoint. I read a lot of forums on here and asked a few questions. Trip advisor definitely helped me with my route and some of the planned activities. I wanted to write a little and brag on this country. First I read some forum saying people in nz did not like Americans or something... Couldn't have been more wrong. Everyone we encountered was so helpful and friendly. We loved talking with the locals and our guides. So here was our trip: We arrived in...More

Kiwi cave rafting v Black water abyss (6 Replies)
We did the black abyss with partner family doing the kiwi cave rafting. For those of you who want to know the difference here is the comparisons. Both have an absail, see glow worms and lovely cave and waterfall. The difference is below Black Abyss - group size up to 8. Absail is longer and is in the cave in the dark. Zipline is short, but fun. it is cold in cave. Enter one area, and walk out at another. Kiwi Cave Rafting - wetsuits much thicker and better (kept warm), absail is in open...More
