Its definetely a MUST DO if you are in Fernando de Noronha, it was the best place to see sea life.
We recommend that you hire a guide to do snorkelling, they can help you to see much more(about R$ 150 for couple)
You will have to hire a life jacket for R$ 20.
Bring your own snorkelling mask.
You will see a lot of BIG turtles, a lpt of fishes, maybe some arrays or small sharks. It was very nice.
Go for it!

In my opinion this is the best beach on Fernando de Noronha.
It's the only beach with calm enough waters to swim and enjoy yourself.
There's good snorkeling, lots of baby sharks and cool fish to see.
You need a life vest to snorkel, which you can buy in a hut for 20R$.
There is absolutely no shade, you can get umbrellas and seats but it can be quite windy, so your umbrella won't stay.

Busy beach, beautiful snorkeling experience (we saw turtles, fish, sting stays)
You can rent equipment there (they won't let you take it to another state park beach, even though it's the same org that rents the gear)
Absolutely no shade, and they only have 7 umbrellas to rent out which is a joke.
The island really doesn't seem prepared for tourists, even though that's the only source of income for the residents...
There also are not enough chairs on the patio next to the kiosk, and there is only one shower so there is constantly a queue.

Excellent beach in the National Park system of Fernando de Noronha island. Highlight for us was the snorkeling where you can easily swim with sea turtles, sharks and rays. Plenty of tropical fish. Convenient access by public buses, you can rent good snorkeling equipment if you don’t have your own. Gift shop and outdoor cafe. The nearby Tamar sea turtle conservation organization has weekly catch and release sessions during which the staff goes into the bay to retrieve sea turtles which are marked and weighed as part of their research program

Overvalued beach. Full of smelly algae at low tide. Charges USD 70 entrance fee per foreign person. You can have the same or better experience of underwater sea life at Porto beach.

This is a very nice beach and the one with best "support" in the island. Regular bus line takes you there for R$3, in front of the beach. There, they rent snorkeling equipment, chairs and sun umbrella, and sell sandwiches, fruit salad, pastry, soft drinks and juices. Reasonable price.
The beach is large enough, and divided in three parts: you can go in the middle and right ones, the latter by renting a floater and snorkel. Lots of turtles can be easily spotted, as well small sharks, lobster, and a variety of fish. You don't have to hire a guide.

If I had to choose one place to go to on Fernando do Noronha, it would be Baia do Sueste. Nothing can beat swimming with turtles and watching them feed.
The worst experience is having to wear the swimming vests that are not just annoying when you want to go a bit deeper, but they rub against your skin and irritate it.
After spending a couple of hours in the water, I wished I could get a cup of hot tea, cocoa or leite quente for my son, but ... The snak bars that are on every pay-to-visit beach do not carry healthy or kid appropriate snacks.

This beach was included in our “island tour” and was amazing!!!
You have to rent a vest, diving fins and snorkels to make sure you are safe to see everything this beach has.
We saw giant turtles swimming there with us, they were peacefully eating and swimming... just like they are used to see people around them.
We swim with a shark as well... they said it was a baby shark but anyway!!!
I strongly recommend to go there with a tour guide... they know exactly where to take you so you get see the best!

Many baby sharks around Swimming between your legs, awesome! There is a snorkel area where you can also see some turtles. I went during a bad month (February) and the water wasn't as clear, but the normal is Cristal clear water with wonderful visibility. Very calm sea and nice beach. There is infrastructure with a small snack place and also rent umbrella and chairs (at extremely expensive fee). You need to have bought the icmbio card to access this beach (and they don't sell it there, only at icmbio office, not close, buy beforehand).

Poderiam me dar mais informações? Agradeco

Hi ,
I'm visiting Fernando in Mid-march and wanted to know the best place to go snorkeling and see turtles/sharks etc? I've read in some threads, that yo can simply hire the equipment at the beach. Is this the best way?
On a separate note i was also hoping to see some Dolphins, is there somewhere which organises boat tours?
Many Thanks!
Sana

Yes you can rent the equipment at the beach. I bought but I barelly used because of the conditions of the sea.

Hi,
I'm really keen to do the snorkelling hoping to see turtles etc. Due to when I can have the time off I'd be going in March or April, from my research these are the wetter months. Can anyone tell me if the snorkelling would still be ok or if the water would be too murky?
Thanks in advance

Vc saberia me dizer o valor desses Guias?
Grata

Obs. Perdona los errores españoles..
