One of the better beaches in the area, the food and drinks are kind of pricey everywhere so I'll rate this as the #3 beach for us in the area. The southern end of the beach is much better for swimming as it has less coral but the restaurants are all in the coral area so if you want to... More

Narrow beach. Steeply sloping. Full of dry seaweed. Very windy. Uninviting brown/green water. Poor facilities. Terrible service. In all the bars/restaurants we sat in, we waited to be served even though they weren't busy. Only got served after we physically went in search of waiters ourselves.

Beautiful, clean, varied surf, and interesting tidal pools on the reefs at low tide. Many restaurants on the beach to eat well and shade children from the sun. Definitely worth the taxi ride from the Mucuge pousadas. We came here three times during stay in town.

nice beach, with a few little restaurants. It's worth it to go to the last restaurant. Good service, best prices and very good food. And after the food you can go for a long walk along the deserted beach

If you are at Mucuge beach, it worths a 10 min walk to get there to have a tan! Because it's finest view and the beach sellers and workers provide good services, accommodation and privacy, avoiding bothering you all the moments.

We loved Pitinga. The red cliffs, the lovely beach, a river and fresh water to swim in nearby and good barracas. We recommend you go to the end to the last barraca (can't remember the name). By far the best. If you are in Arraial you must go here!
