I have travelled a lot and so many interesting places in the world have old monuments, strong standing abandoned temples and structures that stand the test of time... and typically Canada has none of this. Exploring this old solid hand-built dam, learning about its history...More

Nice to look at and see the history. But I personally would find it to dangerous to swim in. Go see it, beautiful.

Behold the ancient Manitoba ruins of yore folks! Burried mumified tombs? Ziggurat's built to appease the great gods? It sure looks like it. Well not exactly. The Pinawa dam requires a $5 dollar park pass to enter and visit one of the old architecture marvels...More

Be prepared for a lot of walking over rocks to really see the beauty of the place. First time there and I was very impressed with a hidden beauty spot of Manitoba.
