Wanted to surprise our three year old, (plus experience it for ourselves) so my husband & I went on a regular train ride. I think the "robbery" ride would scare our three year old. It was extremely enjoyable for everyone. The actual steam train was fantastic and larger then life. Impresses the young and young at heart. I don't know... More

We went on a regular steam train ride on Canada Day. The train station was very well maintained and easy to find. The staff was great. The train is beautiful and well maintained. The experience was great. The staff was very attentive and added to the experience. Each car had a volunteer to help you. Onboard entertainment added to the... More

I have little kids and they love all things train related. We have been on a number of different train rides with them. The Kettle Valley Steam Train is fantastic. The 90 minute ride is fun for everyone, adults and kids. My husband and I view the price of the tickets as very reasonable considering the length of the ride,... More

I have taken my family on this train ride every year when in Summerland. That staff are super friendly and the manager she is very knowledgeable. The kids really enjoy themselves. It's non profit so they do the best they can. If you get the opportunity spend the money and do a robbery train. You can bring your pets to... More

We heard about it, we read about it, and we did it. For a non train addict it was well worth it. The Conductor was amazing, sure knows the history, The rest of the volunteers were helpful and friendly Well worth the stop

What a fun way to spend a couple of hours. If you like trains you won't be disappointed by the restoration of this 1915 original. Well priced at $25 per person round trip, you get to see beautiful vistas of rural Summerland. A quick pit stop half way with some generous farmers selling fresh fruit for the return trip was... Friendly people all around. We took an out side car and enjoyed it very much; nice sunny day. If you are expecting something like the Durango CO train. This is not it. Small town attraction supported by Volunteers. Lovely Views Good pictures.

Our friends from Nova Scotia and ourselves from the Coast thoroughly enjoyed the train ride. The Conductor tells the story as you ride along. We were lucky enough to see 3 bears along the way. Two adult black bears and the cutest baby brown cub. What a treat! We even had a banjo player join our car for a few... More

Such an incredible experience, if the weather is right I definitely recommend the open air cars. The staff they have working on the train are amazingly friendly and wonderful, the conductor actually walked through the whole train and talked to each group of people on the train and was so kind. He even was quick to hop in to have... More

We really enjoyed the train ride and the incredible views! The fresh raspberries sold at the bridge stop were fabulous! It's a little pricey, but the admission costs pay for the maintenance and costs of running the train, an attraction that would be a shame to lose. A must do if you are in the area!
