We enjoyed our few hours in this garden. We took the tour and the guide pointed out many different fruits and plants and most importantly a bee hummingbird protecting her egg, we would never have noticed her without the guide! We only saw 1 (potted)...More

The place has a natural beauty. The main house is great. There was music. Nice pictures. Apparently it was not the orchid season and unfortunately did not see a lot of beautiful flowers. I have seen much better flowers at my humble local store in...More

We had a spare hour before we were due to leave Vinales, so we visited the botanical gardens. As soon as we walked in a door, someone jumped on us saying "hi, I'm Dan, I'll be your tour guide today" - but we hadn't booked...More

The garden is small but since it is operated on a voluntary basis, it is impressive. The tour guides do not receive any form of salary so ensure to tip them as you find appropiate. The garden has a small cafe with fresh juises etc.

I really enjoyed my visit to the garden, but for the most part, the plants that you see there are similar to the plants all around the valley.

If you like gardens and plants this is the place to go. A gentle 5 minute stroll from the town center. The free guided tour took about 20 minutes. A small contribution at the end of the tour is appreciated.

The Jardin Botanico de Vinales is a special place, founded by two ladies of Cuba a long time ago. It receives no government funding and attempts to preserve the flora of Cuba in an island whose main attractions are not ecological! The gardens themselves are...More
