We came for a quick tasting session en route to the airport. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming, knowledgeable and made the experience light and fun. Needless to say the rum was also excellent and there were countless varieties to try. It cost $20pp (US) to do the standard tasting session (six rums plus a couple of bonus shots), which was sufficient for us given our limited timeframe. Afterwards, when they didn't have the ingredients to make the cocktail we ordered, the bartender made us one of their favourites instead (at their expense). They also helped to source us a taxi and locate and return my bag, which I realised I had left behind whilst on board said taxi. The distillery is situated around 10 minutes' drive from the airport. I would highly recommend paying them a visit on your way in/out of the island.

Had a great afternoon at Foursquare. Dario the tour guide was very informative and interesting. He was fun to be with. He also ran the rum tasting and provided additional info along with the yummy rum. Bought some bottles to take home!

Our cruise was visiting Barbados for the day, and as a rum fan and collector of Foursquare rum, I absolutely had to visit the distillery. I emailed Dario and he was tremendously helpful in working out how to get there and also arranging that we could take the afternoon tour, along with a group from another cruise. The tour was fascinating, and the whole experience just brilliant. After the tour, my wife and I had the full rum tasting experience of about 14 rums at the Copper Still Bar, through the whole range. Leah was our host for this and was so helpful in explaining all the rums and guiding us through the tasting. I also took the opportunity to buy some rums (not available at home) from the shop on site. If you are visiting Barbados and love rum, then by all means take the opportunity to visit this wonderful place.

Was not familiar with the distillery so tried the standard rum tasting. Very fun. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing some rum on site (and then some more at duty free). Would recommend a short afternoon visit. The property looked huge—we just hopped in and out though based on our timing/schedule.

Great tour, not too long and questions were welcomed. Loved the tasting and this isn’t something I’d usually enjoy but I love how the lady (sorry forgotten her name) gave such great info about all of the rums and suggestions on what to drink with (wish I remembered now)! As purchased some rum afterwards - the spiced rum was my favourite. Thanks for a great day.

Four Square is one of 4 rum distilleries left on Barbados. Right now I enjoy a rum old fashioned in the bar of the Four Sqaure Rum Destillery Visitor Center. Before I followed an exclusive tour (just for me!) with Tamera for 80 barbados dollars (40 USD). It was a great tour with a lot of information. I'm ready to make my own rum 😀.

Great visit to this distillery who produce some good names in Rums. Two of our party did the standard rum tasting with Janelle, who was friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable about the products - advising how best to drink, with what and other uses for the rum in foods etc. Others of our group did the Limited Edition tasting and also had a great experience. Glad we visited, glad we tasted and even more pleased to have purchased some of those tasted to bring away with us.

We took the tour and both tastings, general and premium, a couple of days ago. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Great time spent learning and tasting. Tamera was our guide and her knowledge of the distilling process and Foursquare’s history was excellent. Thank you for a great experience.

Really enjoyed our afternoon here. Did a quick self tour of the distillery and then paid for a rum tasting which was delivered by Dario. Dario was great, very knowledgable, fun and chose rums to taste based on our likes which I thought was cool. I’d definitely recommend 👌

The web site and information to get to this place was somewhat confusing. The Sam Lord bus and getting off at 6 Roads provides a walk on the flat, on decent paths for about 20 minutes. If you are fit this walk is not a challenge so do not let others say otherwise. A taxi ride of $30 from Oistins will get you to the rum factory. On arriving at the distillery you can walk around on your own for free, and you will see the site. At 10am and 14.00hrs there are tours. $50 dollars and $80 dollars depending on if you want to sample the rare rums in stock. The tour takes about 45 minutes and the lovely Tamira was on hand to answer any question that is asked. After the tour there is a talk on the different rums and the opportunity to sample and purchase a bottle of rum. Please try the rum cream liqueur as an alternative for the whiskey drink that is similar. My party and I were looked after favourably by the team at the distillery. Every person we spoke to, had time for us, and this included the finance man who just bumped into us and the man dealing with the delivery of molasses. A great visit to this place and it is recommended. Not for children. This is not a history tour and does not talk about slavery and its impact on the rum trade.
