Foul Bay, a beautiful beach for relaxation. Plenty of sun and shade. If you are driving, try not to park on soft sand. I would not recommend swimming, if the locals are not out swimming... because the current can be tricky, even for good swimmers. There are porta potties at this location, definitely off the main road, but not very hard to find.

We stopped by Foul Bay while visiting the island on a cruise. We rented a car and checked out 8 different beaches on the island. Foul Bay was one of our favorites! We prefer to spend time at secluded beaches with beautiful views and Foul Bay was perfect for us.

We only saw a few other people while we were at this beach. We were able to find a nice shaded area to set up our travel hammock.

We visited during surf season so the waves in the area were a little too rough for us. We briefly went in the water but decided to stay on the beach after being wiped out a few times. The waves literally pull the sand out of from under out feet.

We didn't mind not being able to swim because the area was so beautiful and was not full of businesses or vendors. The beach was very long and you could spend a good amount of time walking up and down the beach.

There were not any facilities at this beach when we visited.

If you are planning a beach day in Barbados and interested in video footage of Foul Bay and other beaches on the island, check out the Barbados video on our YouTube Channel Explorcation. The link is in our bio.

This beach will blow your mind, not ideal for swimming if your a weak swimmer .Perfect for boogie boarding and just having fun.The beach itself is vast as wide as it is long beautiful white grains and not another person in sight. Much better than bottom bay with easy access.

They do have beach rangers in the car park Mon to Sat....

Still cant get over the natural beauty of the secluded beach, water was a bit choppy but brilliant fun for stronger swimmers, Have managed to show this beach to a few friends and everyone is blown away with it. Take a picnic and make a day of it, washing and parking facilitys as well as beach rangers.

great beach, excellent place to come to be left alone especially week days, as the locals come here more then, but plenty of space the beach is still on the south cost so protected a lot from the atlantic waves you get on the east coast near Bathsheba, but you still need to take care while swimming, as it is closer to the eastern corner, than it is the the Caribbean sea on the West coast.
on another point there is not any hotels or places to eat near by so great for picnice but please leave it as you found it, a nice get away from it all beach, let someone else come a long and thing they are the first to find it!

We went to Foul Bay on a Wednesday and my wife and I were the only ones there! It doesn't have any hotels on it, and it was a great romantic beach. We were told that it gets busy on the weekends with the locals, but we didn't see anyone else while we were there. The surf was a little bit heavy, and to go in the water here you'd better be an OK swimmer (it's not as calm as the western side of the island).

My favourite beach in Barbados, just like the bounty advert, lots of shade, swim only if you are a strong swimmer the sea has attitude here, lovely beach for an all day picnic with friends almost deserted during the week, never gets busy, no facilities so come prepared, swaying palm trees and crystal clear water, white powdery sand, this beach replicates paradise.

Just south of the Crane, you'll have a long stretch of epic scenery all to yourself! Its the Crane without the Crane (You'll know what I mean when you go). When you're here it almost looks like your in southeast asia as the cliffs are so unique. There is no other beach that looks like Foul Bay. You can bus here (via Sam Lords route) and easily drive as well. Theres even steps that go up the northern side of the beach where you can view the entire bay. Its about 3/4 long stretch of the whitest sand you'll ever see. By far my favorite beach in Barbados!! If you want a beach like Crane Beach, but don't want people hackeling you to rent their beach umbrellas, then make you way south as its literally right around the corner from the crane. Highly recommend you grab something to eat or drink at the Crane Palms which about a 10min walk from Foul (GREAT PRICES TOO).

We vacationed in foul bay for 30 days (Jan-Feb). Virtually the same temperature every day, 86 during the day and 76 at night. We rented a private home overlooking this quiet beach. The locals use this beach to dive for sea urchins which we purchased a pail full and enjoyed them with our flying fish and yam.

Foul bay can be a bit windy and the surf not for the timid or inexperienced swimmer. However, the beach is beautiful and very peaceful. Because of the lack of hotels on this beach, the area is not tourist-infested.

When you have previously commented how much you love a place, there is always the fear that when you return it will not be quite so good. Not the case for me, I had an even better time than ever before. This is my favourite place in the world because it is just so completely wild yet accessible. The beach is busy if there are twenty people on it yet it is massive and a walk from one end to the other will leave you exhausted. The sea is wild but if you are a strong swimmer it is exhilarating, riding the waves and crashing through them is just fantastic. Beware the sun because it is exposed and the breeze deceives you about strong it really is. If you love deserted beaches, beautiful Caribbean sea, soft sand, virtually no facilities and no hotels, then hopefully like me you will adore this inappropriately named Foul Bay.
