Tour is ok shame about the beer. Tour includes voucher for a free pint at Australia bar, only to find just 1 of their beers on draft, happened to be Dark Side of the Moose as we all prefer ligher ales gave it a miss. Used voucher on bottled beer unfortunately was cloudy and flat. Very disappointed as have enjoyed... More

Fantastic tour of a working brewery. You really get in among the brewery process from start to finish. Tour guide was engaging and passionate about the brewery. You also get to try all 6 beers brewed! Well worth a visit!

Wonderful micro brewery with award winning bitter and some interesting brews, such as the addition of elderflower which created a great beer for drinking with food.

We went to go on the brewery tour which everywhere we looked online appeared open at the weekends (including on here) but apparently it's only open through the week which was disappointing. The outside of the brewery gave no indication of opening times either. However we did go into the separate shop which was staffed by a lovely woman who... More

A brewery tour is probably not high on people agenda whilst on holiday but having visited the shop we decided to arrange our visit and I am so glad we did. The tour is informative and takes you through the brewing process and the history of the Purple Moose brand. The tour is delivered with enthusiasm and passion which is... More

Missed the brewery trip but made a point of finding the shop. The lady serving was very pleasant and helpful. Came away with a few beers 😊

Popped in to get some local beer and the staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly, sampled all the beers and came out with a variety box full! Taste is great and varied too.

We didn't have time to do the Brewery Tour, but after being served some of the Purple Moose beer in our hotel bar, I knew I wanted to take some home with me, so we made a trip to the brewery shop, which is a five minute walk from the Brewery, on the Main Street in Portmadog. There's no specific... More

We had caught the train in so missed the tour time of 12 noon. Having sampled the Dark Side of the Moose last week at a beer festival, it was a complete 'fluck' that that's where we visited on holiday (well that what my Hubby and friend said!) The 'men folk' sampled all 5 beers and liked each one. I... More
