About
We are a working winery and bar overlooking beautiful Port Erin. We specialise in making sparkling non-grape based wines. Our wines include Rhubarb Sparkling Wine, Elderflower Sparkling Wine, Sparkling Mead, along with our wine infused ciders and sparkling wine cocktails. We use both the methode traditionelle and the force carbonated method to create our sparkling wines. Come and enjoy a taste of the Manx countryside while overlooking an unspoiled view of Port Erin bay.

Been here a few times this summer. It's a favourite with people all over the Isle of Man, not just Port Erin locals. It boasts a beautiful view as you sit on the outside terrace. If only they could make the terrace seating bigger to accommodate more people as it fills up quickly and it's not always possible to get a seat. But I guess they are limited to the space directly outside the facade of their part of the building! It's not cheap but it's nice to sit and have a cocktail on a sunny afternoon. The pop up bar they had at the opposite end of the beach recently was a lovely addition, I hope we see more of those!
For those walkers amongst us that are taking the coastal footpath from the south up to Port Erin (as we did recently) Foraging Vintners is perfectly placed at the end of that walk for some lovely refreshment.

Wish we hadn’t left visiting here to our last night! We would definitely have gone more. It’s so quirky and pretty inside, the staff are knowledgeable about the winery and produce, and very friendly and welcoming. I had their elderflower and rhubarb fizz and took a bottle of the rhubarb fizz home with me it was so delicious! In good weather you can sit outside and stare out to sea. The food looked great too. Oh and it’s dog friendly! 🐶

We visited on a grey cloudy Sunday with friends who live on the island (we were visiting). Lovely little place with great food and service. Loved the decor and bar area too. It was great to look out the window at the view while being nice and snug and dry inside. Would love to go back and sample some of the ciders that were on offer.

We visited this on a very rainy day and had a great time in the very comfortable bar. We were offered tastings of the wines and then went on to buy glasses of the elderflower and accompanied this with some very tasty food. The staff were very attentive and owner spent some time telling us about the production of the wine. This would be an even better experience on a good weather day overlooking the sea. Highly recommended.

What a brilliant idea, a pop up bar on the beach! The lady who sorted me with my bike at the Bike Hut recommended I visit and try the rhubarb fizz. I headed over the beach near sunset and did just that. It was fab!
Initially watching the lovely sunset over. Bradda Head, the ladies next to me on the table soon struck up conversation and it was so lovely to stay and chat to them. They even bought me a second glass of the fizz. What a lovely welcome to the IOM and to Port Erin. It turned out they were actually my neighbours for the night, their homes were literally next door to my b&b. To the two Helen’s, if you read or hear about this review, thank you for making my first night. You have a lovely island, and Port Erin and Foraging Vintners will be somewhere I will come back to on my next visit 😊

We love taking wine tours on our trips and we were actually very surprised when we come upon Foraging Vintners. We booked a wine tour ahead of time, but we were really not sure what to expect when we turned up at the Pink Shed in Port Erin harbour. We were greeted by Ian, the owner and spent an amazing afternoon learning about how they turn apparently random plants and fruits into amazing concoctions that delight the palate and are absolutely hang-over free (not a mean feat in my experience)!

Traveled from Douglas to Port Erin on the steam railway and spent the afternoon at the Foraging Vintners. It’s a great venue, and on a warm and sunny day it is a fantastic location to sit outside on the decking and enjoy views across the bay to the headland opposite.
A place to visit again and again.

What a great place! We called in for a quick drink late on a sunny afternoon and really enjoyed it. There's an unusual choice of drinks. We couldn't see a list anywhere at the bar but the very pleasant bar person happily explained what was available.
The lovely, clean outside seating area has a fabulous view over Port Erin bay and whilst we were enjoying this and our drinks a member of staff offered everyone sun cream. What a thoughtful touch, and one for which I'd give an extra star if I could.
There's a limited range of food available; another very pleasant member of staff delivered our bowl of chips which were just about the nicest I've ever eaten anywhere.
We'll be making this a regular visit. Highly recommended

Wow! We were impressed from the sparkling rhubarb wine and honey wine. Excellent!
The strong ginger beer is my favorite, together with the local rum. The rum is maybe a tiny bit spirit in the beginning, but the caramel taste lingers very long in the mouth. Very delicious!
We'll come again!
