Fun!

What a great experience, they hold a lot of live music which made our visit extremely enjoyable. A real local vibe

Great little gig venue
Sep 2019
Played here, seen other bands here. Lovely pub, friendly staff, great venue to see original bands, open mic nights etc. If you like live music and a nice pint then it's well worth a visit.

Top pub / venue
Sep 2019 • Friends
Visited here for a gig and so wished I wasn’t driving.
Very warm and welcoming Real Ale pub of which they take great pride in.
The venue downstairs is very quirky - the capacity is small but that makes it all the better. Sound is good.
Pay a visit and support local brews and local venues.
I will be back and not driving next time.

Cool little gem of a venue
Feb 2019 • Friends
Went to this superb little music venue to see some bands and was very impressed with the scenery and the set up. A quirky little venue it was a bit of a maze in places with some hidden rooms and a big outdoor area.
The pub seemed popular as there were alsorts of people coming and going all night.
There was a nice wide range of beers and the menu looks good too although the only thing I ate was some of the birthday cake made for one of the performers. It was delicious.

Three daft monkeys gig
Mar 2019 • Couples
This place is quirky. Lovely coal fire was burning on arrival. Staff were all friendly and chatty. The gig venue in the basement looks great. However it is small and needs to restrict numbers. When full there was no room to dance/ move/ breathe. At one point I was knocked against the wall as someone went past and couldn't get floor space for both feet! ( had to stand with 1 on the skirting board for a while) . I'm quite small and was hit on the head 4 times by people behind me. I would have loved the place if there had been less people. Not at all wheelchair accessible.

70th party with Irish music
Jan 2019
Traditional pub with a good atmosphere, the cellar is where the music was performed. A bit cramped and cool and the acoustic bad was hard to hear without amplification. Strange thing, no Irish Whiskey in the cellar bar (Irish pub?) had to go upstairs to get a Jameson!

Great venue for seeing small bands
Nov 2017 • Couples
Great pub with many different areas on several levels.
Beer is good.
Separate areas featuring the odd singer or band. Some are free or cheap.
Nice area outside but can be busy in summer.

good beer, enjoyed band but agree with other comments, this pub was dirty

Needs a good clean, especially the toilets but if you can ignore this, the atmosphere was good. Beer nice too, didn't like children being in the venue until quite late, lazy parents think this is ok.

Good.
Apr 2018 • Couples
This is a small pub with a small downstairs room for music and seating outside with heaters. They don't do food except for cobs etc. We've been a few times not for the music which has not been going when we've been there just for a drink. Good service friendly staff we like it. Very small car park at the back only for 3 or 4 cars so if driving park in a street nearby. Overall a nice atmosphere. Irish theme but not overly so just a typical small pub with good service and music on some nights.

Pub for music toilets for bacteria
Feb 2018
We live Local to the katie Fitzgerald , pub sometimes has decent bands on ,, however the toilets are a absolute disgrace upstairs and down ,, about time councils as well as having hygiene ratings for food outlets had them for facilities in other public places ,, not just my opinion but also colleagues and friends
