About
Skirlington Market & Car Boot was founded in 1986. Today, the busy and thriving attraction is still enjoyed by thousands of visitors every Sunday. The Indoor Market has been fully refurbished in 2019 with a new cafe, farmshop, brand new stalls & a licence bar: so you can visit Skirlington whatever the weather. The outdoor market also has a fantastic range of traders, rides and inflatables for the kids and an excellent range of food outlets. You can even get a delicious Sunday Lunch. The Car Boot site is adjacent to the market; just a short walk past our pond. Here you can attend as a seller (simply arrive between 6-9am, there's no need to book a place) or browse for a bargain. There are toilets at both areas and we have disabled facilities. We also host special events throughout the year. The finale to the year being our Christmas Event which is held the first Sunday in December. Skirlington is a great day out on the East Yorkshire Coast for all the family. We hope you can join us.

Don’t bother with the Wednesday market it’s rubbish
Combined with car boot sale there are very few market stalls along with the indoor bit that’s half closed.
Car boot stalls charging a lot of money for stuff especially second hand clothes
Save yourself the time and go to the Sunday one instead.
I traveled from Scarborough as the website advertises the Wednesday market but in all honesty it was a waste of time and fuel.

Lots to see and do on a Sunday not too far from Hornsea easy to find in the car. Massive market and car boot which you have to pay to get in i believe it was 30p to enter. Lots of stalls to buy from and plenty of food stalls if you fancy a snack. Free parking which is always a bonus.

This was okay but not as good as it used to be. Have been many times and there were lots of stalls but these seem to have reduced down now. Not much variety, although lots of food and drink available. Had been looking forward to our visit and was disappointed.

We went to the market like we have many times. And went to coasta coffee hut for a drink. My partner had a latte and I had a caramel frappe and it were absolutely gorgeous! Worth every penny. The staff were amazing and nothing were too much trouble we’ll definitely be back :)

I am a regular at the car boot and whilst i were packing my stuff away around midday a Gentleman who looked in a state of shock asked me if i knew if there were a first aid person on hand to help a injured person who's leg was badly cut and bleeding rapidly.

i informed a member of staff ( lady on the gate called Ann ) and she quickly went to the injured mans aid. after observation Ann advised that the injury needed emergency attention and quickly phoned for help. what Ann did next was quite remarkable to say the least she made sure the man had a compressed clean cloth over the injury and made him as comfortable as she could then went and got bandages and dressed the cut to prevent it from infection and at the same time was comforting and reassuring his distress wife that all will be fine and help was on its way. May I just say that Ann did a remarkable job and was like a true Florence Nightingale. So when anyone is quick to judge this lady for doing her job on the gate its not her fault she has to charge entry fee, its not her fault its bad weather and its not her fault that cars have to be parked a certain way because i and many other people are so grateful that Skirlington car boot staff are all there to help there are all truly worth their waiting gold.

Went to the market today ( 5th January ) as it was advertised as open met many people who had also drove a long way to find it closed when we had checked it was open. The children are upset, bored and frustrated I think maybe the opening times should be looked at and update such a disappointment.

Go here a few times every year and I must say it has become very disappointing it has a car boot sale on which is ok but the market has become boring to many stalls selling the same or very similar products in my opinion it has gone down hill and I will be visiting elsewhere next year
