Excellent modern boats, Regular during the day, every 15 minutes at peak times. Seniors after 09:30. Look for day trips during the summer months to three rivers in the solent, also Cowes and Beaulieu.

Seems funny to write a review of a ferry but here it is on TripAdvisor so why not! I'm not a regular user of the ferry but have used it quite a few times over the last few years, mostly when traveling to Portsmouth Harbour...More

We stayed in Gosport and took the ferry each day to do the RN Dockyard tours. Ideal. There’s a small car park close by.

The Gosport Ferry runs every 15 minutes throughout the day between Portsmouth and Gosport. It is well run, efficient, punctual and a fun crossing. The views on the crossing are good with Portsmouth Harbour, Spinnaker Tower both visible. Eassily accessible from Portsmouth Harbour Station.

Takes 4 minutes from Portsmouth Harbour to Gosport. £3.60 return for an adult. With the ferry coming every 15 minutes. It’s reliable, safe and cost effective. Lots of spacious seating upstairs and some seats inside too. Felt very safe and relaxed. Staff were welcoming and...More

Reasonable ticket price and you’d be crazy not to use it to get to Gunwharf or the Naval Dockyard. Crew are super attentive and looked after a disabled lady in front of us with kindness.

What is there to say really than it’s the quickest way to Gosport from Portsmouth and vice versa. What other option is there? Drive round the harbour? That could take hours if traffics bad. By the ferry it’s only minutes.

Quaint old pedestrian high street with coffee shops & pubs. Street market on Tuesdays & Saturdays. Boathouse bistro in the Marina on waters edge well worth a visit. Enjoy
