Really interesting experience, we learned a lot on how was the life of the inmates and the prison guard. It's a short visit, in less than half an hour you get the full guided tour. Not the best place for little kids though, there are steep stairs on the building that are part of the historic legacy, so be careful. The guide was really nice to us and stored our stroller and diaper bag during our visit.

You may as well do this guided tour if you visit Pedraza as it’s quite short and worth the €3 entrance. We visited while we were waiting for the tour of the village and it only took about 20 minutes. Interesting history lesson.

Pedraza is a small village in the region of Segovia and has about 467 inhabitants. In reality we have here a Medieval surrounded by walls village. In the village we have the Cárcel, which was located in the “Tower” and had several rooms in which they kept the prisoners, we can consider this location as a form of a county jail, we did not had the opportunity to visit the inside, but the village is worth the short visit as a historical village.
