This was our third visit of the Sineu market.

It is always worth a visit because find anything: food, fruits, cheese, olive oil, clothing, leather wear, toys and so on.

As usual we bought (and negotiated heavily) some nice souvenirs and more.

Visited the market today.
You can find everything at this place: fruit, veggies, sweets, farm animals, clothes, jewelries... even imitation Rolexes! Very busy place, with many tourists. Worth the visit, but watch out for pickpockets.

You will not like to miss out from this market. Reserve some three hours to wander around, taste and buy local goodies.Buy a lamb, dog or a pig. Clothes,ceramics,seashells,..everything! Lots of tourists though, but also the locals visit here. Love the fruit stands and the foodstands. This is a must for me.

This so called market is a true tourist trap if there ever was one. The marked is packed with literally hundreds of bus loads of tourists delivered to the market for 1-2 hours to fill up the time in the dayexcursions of the agency’s.

Majority of the sellers are the same Africans you meet offering their merchandise in the streets at nights.

Be aware that the prices offered when you ask for a price is well above the high street price, and they can easily be negotiated down to between 25 and 30 % of the starting price. Do NOT ever never pay anything remotely what they ask when you ask about the price of an object.

A great market in a pleasant town.
The market is a mixture of goods, food, and animals, and it is very easy to spend a couple of hours just walking around the different stalls without actually buying anything.
It is spread over write a large area with lots of pretty little streets and locations.
There are plenty of places to sit and have a coffee or a drink if you prefer.
Parking is sometimes a bit difficult but if you persevere you will find a space.
Definitely the best market we have been to for a long time.

Good and varied market that feels like what real Mallorca is all about. Get there early to avoid the crowds. Loved the drums and didgeridoo band by the church!

We visited the farmers market on the 6th July, the market is a real farmers market where you can buy literally anything from cloths, food (all types), animals (both farm and domestic), leather goods, lace etc.

You can buy reproduction Rolex Watches, Gucci and Chanel, Michael Kors etc products, the stall holders try to get you pay silly prices but they will take as little as €20 for a not half bad reproduction.

Visit, it's well worth the experience.

WARNING - Watch out for the pick pockets, they are prolific here.

We were in Sineu in end of October and saw nothing we were interested in buying or even look at. The live animals market, was a tiny corner and the only remaining fragment indicating that this might have been a real market once. Now, however, it is and endless row of leather and textile trinkets - leather belts, handbags, shawls, etc, etc - all for tourists. It was the only inner city we have visited during our week long stay, where we did not feel comfortable to sit down for a cup of coffee or would consider to have a meal. The rest of Mallorca is so clean, tidy and nice it’s unbelievable. So, why then waste your time on a worthless market?

Mallorca is known for having lots of markets happening across the island every day of the week. Sineu for us is one of the best and the largest . It spreads across the town with everything from lots of fruit and veg, clothing, gifts and even animals! This is because it is a proper farmers market with people buying their live chickens, pigs etc.

It is on a Wednesday and the times given as 8.00 to 14.00. Contrary to the review which says it is a quiet market, we were there at the beginning of July and it was very very busy.

Parking can be difficult, so it’s best to follow the parking signs and you will find a field being used for parking, which is very close to the start of the market stalls. There was no charge, just a request for a donation.

If markets are you thing, then well worth the visit.
