good points are good equipment, organized ok, and on harbor waterfront. but the problems outweigh it. from beginning (reception desk lady) and throughout (on boat and dive master) we just had the feeling they just wanted to get you in and out - like a commodity. what friendliness there was seemed superficial. unlike most mediterranean dive centers and staffs, there was no obvious "joy" of diving by the staff. just that "get them in and out" mentality that took away from the dives. clientele was for the most part older, rich, overweight german men - maybe they liked that style, but who knows... anyway, although it might be the best game in town, it is still a let down overall diving with them...i think it would be worth checking out some other dive shop(s) before signing up with these guys.

After receiving a friendly welcome from staff, my partner and I decided to go ahead and book an Afternoon snorkelling trip. Being new to snorkelling and my partner not being the most confident swimmer, we were assured that the trip would be more than suitable, safe, and enjoyable. Unfortunately, we did not find this to be the case at all. We left the diving shop with 2 instructors, 5 scuba divers, and 2 other snorkellers. From here on out we found the trip to be wholly focussed on the scuba divers. We felt as if we were spare parts. After dropping the first team of scuba divers off, we moved 5 minutes along the coast. The sea conditions were very choppy, not at all ideal for snorkelling. The remaining instructor told us that we would be fine, even after admitting the unsuitability of the conditions, and subsequently left us to our own devices in deep water, with only the inattentive boat captain to keep us company. We spent about 10 minutes in the water as we could not see anything due to the conditions, we both felt uncomfortable and unsafe. The company cannot be blamed for the conditions of-course, but we felt that the inattentive, blatant disregard for our safety and experience was poor. We would not recommend to snorkellers.

Very friendly, professional and fun. Great experience and plenty of time in the water. Even picked us up from our resort in Camp del Mar. Highly recommended!

I always research dive centres before I pick one and Diving Dragonera had my attention from the outset. Not only is it a PADI 5* IDC, the location is in the middle of three marine reserves and the team at DD replied promptly to my e-mails - proving they were competent in the water and on land! Syvlia, Anna, Kati and Corrina were all so welcoming and clearly love what they do. I found them extremely professional, but also very friendly. The dive centre is set up so well (wonderful showers for between dives) and there are four boat dives a day to choose from. The whole set-up was so efficient, but it also felt nice and relaxed - both of which you want when diving on holiday. I was very pleasantly surprise at the amount of life underwater, but I guess that's where the marine reserves helped. So many barraduca, sardines and fish generally (I love those damselfish!), not to mention plenty of Octopus and Nudibranch - my all time favourite. The dive centre is surrounded by lovely port-side eateries, not to mention nice boutiques and decent shops, so plenty to eat/drink/shop in between dives. WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND THE DIVE CENTRE AND STAFF :-)
