About
Vall d'Or is an 18-hole golf course par 71, 5.538 Meters long from white tees. It combines two completely different landscapes in the first and second round. The front nine holes have rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine, almond and olive trees. The back nine holes have wider and more uneven fairways that go down towards the coast. The greens, protected by bunkers, welcome all approach shots. It is an average-difficulty golf course but quite entertaining, and with magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea. Opened in 1999, the club house is located on top of a hill from where one can enjoy the spectacular views over the bay of Portocolom and Cala d'Or. The club house offers the following services and installations: Reception and club storage room, hire of buggies and trolleys, club hire, Pro- shop, ample changing rooms, availability of lockers, 2 paddle courts, swimming pool and solarium, Bar-Restaurant, terrace with spectacular views. Spanish, Catalan, English, French and German speaking staff. Open every day from 7.30 Am.

I wrote my first review of Maxims at Valle D’or 3 years ago and have visited on many occasions since. We have always ordered from the Menu del Dia and had exceptional food every visit. This week however was very poor indeed. On reading the menu we found it quite uninspiring but ordered anyway. The starters were just OK but then we had to return our beef main course. It was totally inedible, just a roll of tough gristly meat. It was replaced by Salmon en papillotte which was under seasoned and barely cooked. The waitress explained that that was how the Spanish ate it. We have been on the island for 22 years so do know how the Spanish cook salmon. I asked if there had been a change of chef and yes there had!! Our very nice waitress was very apologetic about our experience and we did say we would visit again but it won’t be in the very near future. So sad!!

Not recommendable! Around 140 euro for 18 holes and club rentals. I could not even get a 5 iron! I askes for a 58 or 60 wedge. I could not get one. Staff was pretty ignorant. I was also asked to find another booking time because the one i had made did not suite the club because the three other golfers wanted to go alone! So much for a social club 🤷♂️ Driving range looks like a place where you put outburned cars and the putting greens are definately not well held. During the 18 holes you feel like Kate Bush in the video “Cloudbursting” as you run up hills constantly. The fairway is a sorry sight. Theres more stones and dirt than grass. Its simpelt not held as it should. The greens are unprecictable. Some are like highways others like the slow lane. So we will never go here again would strongly recommend others not to through away your money here!

One of nicest golf courses I know. Had today menue fish. This was horror. Almost cold, no consistency. I guess it was prepared much earlier and conserved too long. Lying like a stone in the stomach. Bruscetta came with ham and cheese. Never have seen this before.

The clubhouse was acceptable but the clubs that were hired were not a full set, terrible condition and a variety of different clubs.The fairways were not up to standard for the price you had to pay. Feel as though they have completely taken advantage of the fact that you are on holiday and restricted to the area. The price was extortionate for half a days golf with rubbish golf clubs.

Dear Ms. Carole,
first of all we would like to express our regret at your late experience on our course. Due to the extremely high temperatures reached over the last two months, the fairways have indeed suffered more than in former years. It would be a pleasure for us to receive you again on our wonderful course, once it has recovered and you may enjoy it at its best.
Regarding your comments on the rental clubs, we rent out full sets of King Cobra Graphite irons completed by Callaway woods, the "mixture" is therefore on purpose, but I would hardly call it " a variety of different clubs".
As I said it would be a pleasure for me to receive you personally the next time you visit Vall d'Or Golf.

This is a great golf course, a bit hilly in places but with spectacular views, the course is well keep and well managed. We had a great round and then finished with lunch on the patio, the food is excellent and the staff are attentive. I'm not sure where the previous reviewer got 'mini golf' from as this is quite a long course with some tricky holes?

We have ate here at the BBQ Nights on fridays and I would say it's Possibly the best BBQ Food I have EVER tasted. Pure Quality with amazing views & Live Music.

Looks smart and lovely clubhouse. About €160 all in with buggy and club hire. For that amount you would expect decent clubs. We got Cobra set that had seen better days, probably about 8 years ago and a putter reminiscent of the ones you get on municipal chip and putt courses. Course is decent without being spectacular but the views are pretty stunning. If you are staying in or around Cala Dor and don’t want to travel 30/40 minutes and are prepared to pay for it then fair enough.

Rather disappointed that at over €100 a round none of the on course facilities were open so no drinks or snacks to be had anywhere on the course!!!! Greens as
Slick as ever but had to tell one of the staff to terminate his mobile phone conversation at the side of the green while I had my putt!! The restaurant at Vall d'Or Golf is second to none with a fabulous set menu for around €20 a head. I will be back again this year. Luke

Probably the BEST food that I have tasted in a long time. Cooked to perfection, the variety of food catered for everybody. The beef skewers just melted in your mouth. The children enjoyed their food too and especially the dessert table. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is in surrounding area. AMAZING

I'll be on holiday in cala d'or from 23rd of July and my mate and I were thinking of having a round of golf at vall d'or golf club. I just want to know if I need to book a tee time before we fly out or can I do it online when I arrive at the resort.

Will be staying in Cala D'or in September for 10 days looking to at least get 2 rounds of golf in, was just wondering if there is a refreshments cart going round the course?
