This is an attraction that is very out of the ordinary. Featuring three different landscapes from desert to Mediterranean with a myriad of different plants and trees Botanicactus is one of the really nice sights to visit on Mallorca. More labelling is essential but our guide Toni was superb and compensated for the lack of information.

The cacti are spectacular, but as other reviewers also mention, very few are labelled which would have made this more interesting. Also, the map of the gardens is very poor with very little detail, considering the area covered. The lake area was a bit of a let down, as the water level was very low, which made the lake more... Very nice botanical garden. We visited by mid-October and the cactus were impressive. It's really worth spending time there!

Claiming to be the largest botanical garden in Europe, Botanicactus is a dream if you like cacti... which I do... The place could do with a better map, and better labelling of the exhibits, with a little more information, to be honest, but even in October when they seemed to be doing a fair bit of maintenance, this was still... Surprised at the area of gardens and different species of plants. Agree that more information on plants required, and signposting of different areas. It is worth walking round the lake, but the island in the middle was inaccessible on day of visit. On next visit will take a picnic as there is a picnic area near children's playground. There was no... More

Fascinating surreal vegetation. We didn't know what to expect before we arrived but we were very impressed by the variety of plants. The pathways were easy to wander through. More info on the plants would have been useful and the water features would have been nice had they been working. The facilities at the entrance are minimal ie there are... More

It is interesting to see lots of cactuses in one place, as they do not thrive in my country. However, I'd prefer more informative plates, where from cactuses are, what's their habitat and whatnot. Place did not seem well cared about or maybe it was being reconstructed. Entry fee is reasonable. I'd recommend it, if one has time to kill... More

I love palms and cactus. This trip would be better if it wouldn't be that hot! There is plenty to walk and see as the place is huge. many different species of plants.

This has a great write up in the travel book I had. But did not live up to expectations. There is no restaurant and the pay booth advertises sandwiches and rolls but there were none on sale the day we went. So no lunch. The gardens could be great, but again lack of maintenance. Water features not working, Lack of... More
