We went to see the preseids meteorite shower in August to this location. There were many cars around 20:00 pm to see the sunset. A short walk and you are on the rocks, next to the lighthouse. It's good to get a bit further from the lighthouse, as the light is bright and you don't see the stars so well. Nice location!

Beautiful landscapes in the area, great views from the lighthouse.
Walking ½ h on the trail from the right of the lighthouse leads you to a large and well protected beach, a magical place which is quasi desert in the morning. Little shadow, we recommend you to take water and a shade.
More busy from 1pm onwards, but we regret not to have taken a picnic to stay all day. Worth coming early in any case.
Note : Some nudists on the northern part of the beach.

I'm not sure if that's the rule, but the lighthouse was not open for visitation. The beach is very pretty though, and worth the drive.

A lovely drive to the most southerly point of mallorca, the lighthouse is not open to the public so parking is difficult and on the road. The view from the lighthouse is stunning and the island of Cabrera is visible on clear days. The water here is beautiful clear and cool

Beautiful rustic landscape that ends with the most southern lighthouse of Mallorca.
Not crowded, recommend for anyone who loves nature

Go early if you are driving as it gets very busy. We parked at the lighthouse and walked along the coast to Platja des Caragol. Great walk. Easy and safe under foot so all your focus can be on the scenery.
Turquoise seas with great views over to the Island of Cabrera. Rocky coast mainly until you come to the beach of Caragol. Lovely and sandy, safe for swimming and quiet. No umbrellas or refreshment hut here so take plenty of drink with you. A real must and great to find so much space on a beach in early September.

Nice trekking from south point Faro Salines back to Colonia Sant Jordi. Beautiful scenery by the sea. Until you reach the harbour there are no bars or cafes so take water with you! Clear blue water, very clean beaches around. Just amazing!

It is not always easy to see the paths, we pass between stones and sand but the view is magnificent. On the other hand, be very careful not to leave anything in the car, when we returned the rear window of the car was broken🥶, they took my brother-in-law's backpack in which there were all his papers (passport, CNI, card blue, silver...). Obviously the place is conducive to theft, another car was also broken into and the rental company told us that it had been going on for 2 days... it really ruins the vacation 😱

It is a very quiet area to walk around watching the sea and the island of La Cabrera. You can also take a dip. Highly recommended.
