The Tourist Office provided a sketch map and approximate directions to walk the Camino from the town to the Ermita. The first two-thirds of the route were on roads or concrete tracks and not always clearly sign-posted. Eventually we reached the small path leading uphill...More

We drove up the hill for the views and continued on foot, higher yet as we walked part of the first stage of the Camino. Views nice, lots of birds flying, eagles in the distance. Definitely a beautiful place, and the temps were much cooler...More

We asked in town where to get the best view: They suggested to go to visit the Ermita location. We were lucky because besides the view there was a wedding.

I went up for the views which were ok but there were better ones on the way up from the road where the beach was visible. Didn't actually go inside the Ermita though.

Guadalupe is a lovely chapel on the top of the mountain behind Hondarribia. If you are a church goer or not, the chapel itself is very special, the mass on Sunday has amazing amateur singing from the congregation.

It was a lovely walk from Hondarribia, about 3 kms away. A bit steep at the end, but easy to climb as there were some stairs. The view is stunning!

The views from the location of the church are fantastic. The church itself is extremely well maintained and it is precious.
